Early morning NBA game for Saturday on tap, and I must admit, I don't normally spend a great deal of time looking at or studying these since there is so many NCAA games going, and quite frankly, I don't care about the NBA on SAT!
But I've noticed that quite often, these games have played out to about my expectations, and therefore, I decided to take a look after FRI nite action was over.... anyway, here's my take on this one.
NETS wrapped up the ALL STAR EAST coaching debut of Byron Scott when MILW lost Thur nite, and now have 3 more wins at the break than they did all of last year. After playing in TORONTO, stopping off at home for a game vs HOUSTON, the NETS have been in TEXAS since Monday, and probably got into MIAMI sometime on FRI afternoon. My thinking is, if I just had to endure the customs of CANADA, a short stay at home, and then spend all week in TEXAS observing cattle and flat land, I'd be all hyped about a nite on the town in SOUTH BEACH! Come on now, NETS have got one of the younger teams in the league, and although they've been here already this year, this is the FIRST time in a long time that the NETS have had anything to celebrate... hence, my angle is this, look for the NETS to play a lackluster game and MIAMI to exact some revenge from having lost at home to this team already this year. MIAMI had won 6 straight before dumping a good lead in ORLANDO two nites ago, so look for the HEAT to play an inspired game, and the hungover NETS to go thru the motions and head back home for the ALL STAR break. NETS are off til the 31st, so they gotta be thinking of getting back home and seeing family, but want to enjoy that ONE last nite on the town before they do....
FINAL SCORE: MIAMI 92 NETS 84
