DENVER NUGGETS +8.5 - While it is obvious that the Nets are the far superior team in this contest, this is not the best of spots for them. They are coming off of an emotional 89-83 road win over the Lakers, and tonight marks the end of their 5-game Western road trip. They could be excused for having a letdown vs. this clearly inferior opponent, especially with many of the Nets thinking about their return home on Wednesday. Keep in mind too that they are just 10-12 S/U on the road this season, as well as 1-3 both S/U and ATS in their last 4 trips to Denver. The Nuggets are 7-14 S/U at home, but they are over .500 ATS at 11-10, and they are losing their home games by an average of just 4.4 points, about ? of tonight?s posted line.
