DRY1, HA, HA, Im imploring you to not jump ship. Those individuals are very good cappers, but they do what they do and I do what I do. You cant take turns tailing different people, if your going to here for the bad times, be here for the good times. As far as you being the kiss of death and bad karma.........please, doesnt phase me. We will get on a run, trust me. Dont lay your guns down and come back next month and see Im now 19-10 ATS. Stay the course. I gotta toughen you up alittle.......HA, HA.

HEY DON

THANKS FOR YOUR WORDS ON MONEY MANAGEMENT, I KNOW ITS ONE THING US ROOKIES FORGET ABOUT. WE JUST JUMP IN AND START BETTING THEN HAVE A COUPLE OF BAD DAYS AND CHASE AND BLOW THE BANKROLL. I WILL FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE

THANKS AGAIN

soy de Monterrey cabrones !!
u are right Don, that's the way it is.... better to play soft and consistent, trying to make good long runs often and often (even when the bad runs come, there is no 100% cappers), saving the bank but at the same time using it, in such way that the earnings meet reflected with the step of the days.....:SIB

BTW, how about the first NFL dog of the list with KC :SIB ... that was easy, so the trend is now 7-2 :mj06:

LARZUK35, DRY1, this what I did years ago when I decided to get serious about sports wagering. I was living in Texas at the time and I got a job in the oil fields working on the drilling rigs.I worked 5 weeks straight and raised $6400. Coupled with what had, I begun my bankroll with alittle over $9000. I used a variation of what is known as the Kelly System. I wagered 10% of my banlroll per play. Win or lose, what ever my total was I went 10%.Essentially what your doing here is losing your biggest bets, but once you get on a nice streak, your bankroll will grow expotentially. I struggled for about the 1st couple of months, back and forth..........and then I took off on like a 29-11 run in hoops and came up large quickly. I cant be exact about how much I made because I was adding money at the same time. Each week I got payed I was taking practically my entire paycheck and adding it to my bankroll. This was before they even had offshore books. So, for example, if you have a $1000 bankroll, starting tomorrow betting all 3 games at $100 each. Lets say we lose all 3 and your bankroll is down to $670 and the next day we have 2 more plays both of those plays will be for $67. Basically with system is design to win back your money twice as fast as you lost it. Once I built my bankroll up to a certain amount I went to 4.4% per play, and thats how I operate today. Flat betting is the way to go. I had gotten to a point where if I could consistently hit 56% to 58% throughout the year I could live off my winnings. I went back to work acouple times and sold cars to add to my bankroll, but my goal was just not have to work, at the time I wasnt thinking about getting rich. Along the way I got very lucky and had acouple big years and never look back. But man you got to have staying power to play this game. You cant get down after a few bad weeks, you to plan your work and work your plan. Once you develope the mentality that leaves you impervious to losing, you will be on your way. Because even the best cappers cant expect anything more than 60% over a sampling of a 100 play. The average is 57%, so essentially your losing almost as much as you win. In sports wagering its the little things you do or dont do that make a tremendous difference. For instance, I still post my picks in football but Im through wagering for the season. Im just gonna focus on hoops for the rest of the year. Im 50-31 ATS college and pro combined, thats +19 games over 500, 62% over 81 plays. Theres only one way to go from here.....and thats down. I remember what it felt like to lose every year for about the 1st 5 or 6 when I frist started, so I dont hesitate to call it a season and enjoy my profits. At any time in college and pro hoops if Im up big Im subject to call it a season. Thats why I dont bet the bases, man after biting my nails and pulling out my hair for 7 or 8 months, I need to get away from this s^^t. In the summer I dont even look at sports or think about it. After years of this its like a job and you start getting burnt out. Look, 1-3 is not the perfect start to our season, but you got to hang in there until we turn this thing around. Were on ORL, NJ and SAC tomorrow. Go get your best line and put your hard hat on..........we got some work to do.

I'm sticking with bro, am going to start with a bank of 1000.

Believe me, I'm tough enough to handle losing streaks...in fact I feature losing streaks...I'm just not wealthy...If I'm down $1000, I have to answer to my wife...she turns up the heat on me..and then I've two things to be depressed about...I'm still with ya...Dry

Don - thank you for the money mgmt advice. You hit the nail right on the head with me. As soon as I get cold feet I start chasing the money. The bankroll is not the problem, its the discipline of applying it correctly is my biggest downfall. As soon as I have a bad weekend I start chasing games I have no business being on. Just can't get over that "stick with the picks" process.

Believe me, 1-3 ATS doesn't bother me, I've paid a lot more for an education in life. I just appreciate you taking the time to not only participate with this forum by handing out your picks, but also explaining the steps along the way. Very rare in today's world. Thanks for the help and I'm with ya, for the long haul! :toast:

Do you only play favorites in BBall b/c I have alwasy lost my arse doing that. Basketball, more college than the NBA is a dog sport. If you are not sure on a game, take the dog everytime and you will be very happy.

Have you taken a dog yet this year? I have been watching your plays and cannot remember.

Not trying to speak for Don, but here is what he said in that BOURBON ST. SPECIAL thread:

What I do in the NBA is relatively simple..............based on in-season statistical performance patterns, scheduling, depth, power rating, ect. I formulate a list of play on teams. Those teams are, UTA, ORL. HOU, LA, NJ, SA, MIA, SAC, and IND, and only play on these teams in one role...............when hosting the opposite conference at home. Its that simple. These teams combined since 99#, 7 seven seasons have averaged 58% and most of these teams are markedly improved from last year, ie HOU, ORL. UTAH.LA, and I really like NJ. The key thing here is they prescedent, ATS history for performing in this particular role and are place to have stellar seasons. This is just how I play it in the reg season..............I rock the house in the playoffs. I focus exclusively on the higher seed in 4 different situations and have averaged 60% or better in 10 past seasons, but that anther story, the playoffs are a long ways off.

DRY1, we got to work on that self-defeating/cynical mindset youve developed. How about 3 winners tonight, you know who I like, lock them up. You know why I take a special interest in you? You said you havent had a winning season for 7 years and your still at it! Your like me, your either dumb as a brick or just got nuts like softballs. I didnt win either for the 1st 5 or 6 years I began playing.............and would march on Tuesday to settle with my local. If there is 101 pitfalls, traps, and mistakes a sports bettor can make...........Ive made everyone 3 times over, trust me. The 4 major tenets to sports betting 1. Selecting winners at a profitable rato, 2. Always get your best line, 3. Use a money management program most suitable for the size of your bankroll. 4. Never let your wife find out about your offshore accounts. DRY1, for you I went in my closet on dug up my old lucky Quicksilver hoody and will wear it tonite while in action with all 3 plays. Im not worried about me, Ive been up against like this a 1000 times like this. I could go 1-10 to start the season and it wouldnt phase me, I want you to win now. You seem to have alot of confidence in me and I want to help you get on the other side of the ledger. Your sake, not mine, I hope we come up big tonite. Let me know if you booked those plays.

3 Winners would be great, Don....and I'm about 3% sure it will happen...that better be one magical sweatshirt yer wearin' ...I'm not particularly courageous, so I'd have to lean toward the "dumb as a brick", but I guess I'm just relentless more than anything...I will get it right, hopefully by following a pro, and guess who's elected to be that? :) I'm all over those plays like a cheap suit...and I may get a few beers to dull the pain or celebrate...thanks again for the efforts..Dry

I like how you post your plays way before the games start so people can follow you without having to sit at a computer all night. Good luck with your plays tonight.
