I'm not saying the Pats are the only ones who do any wrong. Far from it. For the most part the league is crap, and the worse it gets, the more fan support it has.

What I am saying is that we know the Pats did cheat and to win so many big games by such little margin each time is astronomically huge.

Free agency and parity is not the topic here. I hate what free agency, parity, expansion has brought to the league...which is mediocrity. But that doesn't mean you overlook a champion b/c they only win the big one by a few points.

My point is that a lot of close wins could easily, perhaps even probably, be losses when you take cheating out of the equation.

We don't know to what extent the cheating and advantages went, but 4 games that come to mind that would have been lost if you take away an unfair advantage.....Raiders, Rams, Panthers, Eagles....thats why I can't respect the Pats as a franchise. Not until they can prove their innocence...which they have already admitted their guilt. The asterik will forever be there. They didn't win fairly.

The asterisk is there in your mind, and you have every right to think as you wish. But guess what? In the grand scheme of things, your opinion means jack chit. It won't change the record books and as far as the books go the Pats championships are as legit as it gets.

As far as Brady being a low draft pick, so what? Bart Starr was a 17th round pick. Terrell Davis was a 6th. Joe Montana was a 3rd. I don't see how those players' respective teams could have won with players that low. They must have been cheating in some way.

Sounds stupid doesn't it?

What I would ask guys like you is the same thing I'd ask that weasel Spector: where were you when Denver and SF were cheating the cap? Why were you mysteriously silent back then? Spector has already proven himself to be a lying coward when his "integrity of the game" excuse didn't include the NBA official who was cheating. Of course we all knew, despite his lying, that he was nothing more than a bitter Eagle fan. What's your excuse?

You finally made a good point. I'm not really aware of Denver but I'll take your word for it.

Where in the hell was ANYONE when SanFran so blatantly went over the cap to win it all in 1994??? They did nothing short of buying a championship illegally. They had a good team, especially good on offense. So they went out and bought several teams best defensive players (Gary Plummer comes to mind among others) and "won" the title.

But it was ok b/c the league had to get that monkey off Steve Young's back. Man, when I saw them on the sideline at the end of the super bowl, I wanted to vomit.

I know Brady is a stud, but what I was saying is that he was a 6th round pick and for the most part has had fairly average receivers. It helps that he plays in a system that allows 5-wide on most plays and a NEAR PERFECT OFFENSIVE LINE....thats where it gets a little tricky for me.

That o-line is good but not THAT good. Watching that offense for the last several years, it really did answer some questions and make a lot of sense that they knew more than they should have.

But TD,there O-Line really is that good.
Granted they got schooled in the SB.

Your not the only one across the country that feels like you do.Were on the fence over here cause odv. were from the area.

But,honestly the main reason is ,for me anyway ,and i prob. could speak for alot of New Englanders is this.

Kraft. The Owners from the area.I knew from the start he was gonna bring a winner to NE.It didnt happen overnite. But from the rebuilding era with Parcells, which did reach the SB(and lose).

To the Belichek area that suceeded to win 3 sbs.
We knew it could happen.Did the illegal taping put a damper on it for me?Honestly no,cause for me it was a secondary issue.

You can believe ,what you want this is America.
The tapes might of helped them prep for a certian team. But to say they could preread a play or game for that matter,to me is a stretch, and you can throw in to make a player or O-line play above there capabilities in there also,a big stretch,IMO.

Training camp is almost here hang in there:mj07: :00hour

Its cool. I think we've had a good discussion...not too many more ways I can reword my opinions. Looking forward to football season, but a lot more to college than nfl. I just wish they had a real postseason...
