Thanks guys
Woody thats where I am staying and have Dragos on the list for the 1st nite. Heard the char oysters are great. Getting there Sunday late afternoon and leaving around noon on Thursday. Taking a trip one day to either Gulfport or Biloix-one trip to a couple plantations-probably hit Harrah's and looking forward to some good food/Jazz at nite. This information has been very helpful. Soundslkike the weather will be great. Was at Ft Polk before I went to Nam-hit NO alot then but its been a while-1968?? My best army buddy was from Baton Rouge so made alot of LSU games then-hope to look him up.

I love the Hilton Riverside. Mothers is just a walk down to the left as you walk out the front of the Hilton. Go past the back of the casino and Mother's is on the right side. You will see the line of people getting in. :0074

Also, RIDE THE ST. CHARLES TROLLEY! It's a very pleasant sight seeing trip and you pass through a lot of the neighborhoods and local colleges.

For a couple bucks, you can't beat it.

Jackson Corner is always good for a street show. And if you walk out to the river behind Cafe De/Du Monde there is usually a guy playing the sax that can play any requested song.

Incredible city. Enjoy!

Well made it back and am tired---even watched the archbishops furneal processional on Canal Street-amazing. I hit most of them-Trolley, Jax St-Glat's-Commanders-Ame-Mothers- Mr B's--and my favorite was Drago's charbroiled Oysters--Woody you were spot on--great trip and all the food was great like you guys said. Had two great cigars from the NO Cigar Company--rolled them while I waited--went to Oak Alley plantation etc. No rest.:0008 :toast:
