So after the new playoff system going on for 2 years. We need another change.

1st, the teams not in the power 5 just aren't cutting it. Not saying over the course of the years there couldn't be a major upset but this isn't college basketball. Even witha major upset we really think a SMU, JMU, BOSIE ST, TULANE team can rip off 3 or 4 wins vs power 5 opponents?

So my suggestion.

this year
TULANE and JMU out
NOTRE DAME, TEXAS IN the college playoff.

But we have a 2nd bracket for the remaining teams. Call it the Bowl Champ Series 🏆

Same format

1st round BYEs
TULANE
JMU
BYU
VANDY

1ST ROUND

IOWA @ UTAH
G-TECH @ USC
HOUSTON @ ARIZONA
VIRGINA @ MICHIGAN

Then the 2nd round could also be BOWLS.

Why not?

More games and another Bracket for teams that had a great year but didn't quite make the Chapionship bracket.

Last two seeds in should play each other ie 11/12. The other 1-10 should play also no byes. 1-10, 2-9, 3-8, 4-7, 5-6, then winner of 1/10 plays winner of 11/12, 2 plays winner of 5/6 and winner of 3/8 plays winner of 4/7, that leave top 4 to figure it out in semis and final.
