Coaching is extremely important in bowl matchups. And let's face it, this is a coaching mismatch. Furthermore, Iowa will be looking for a better showing after last year's bowl debacle at the hands of USC. Taking that, the better defense, and a public pounding of Florida into account, and I'm on the Hawkeyes.

Michigan +7 even

The late groundswell of USC support was just what I was looking for. This number briefly opened at 7 and was hit down to 6.5 quickly. Now it's back to 7 with late Trojan money. I know many will be on the Trojans, and they are without a doubt a powerful squad, but this is too big a number to lay to the Wolverines. Michigan boasts a balanced offense, and a highly underrated defense. They also have an outstanding secondary, which will be the first of its kind that USC has faced. Hermann will likely have a creative gameplan designed to slow down USC's offense, and if it works, even a bit, I think Michigan has a great chance at the outright.
