Huskers are still celebrating over Indy win...but prior to that they had lost 5 or 6 in a row..one to Gardner Webb at home...they can't shoot the 3 and front court is only avg...Terps at home have Melo and company..frosh pt gd Cowan is a top player that is a good ball handler...Turg to me is the most underrated coach....I know here are a lot of people that don't like him....but he always has talent...and makes good adjustments....
Johnnies -2 over DePaul ***
Johnnies 2 weeks ago wanted to fire Mullins..his team is so inconsistent,players out of control on the court..3 players called a different out of bounds play and everyone blamed each other...get beat by Del St and get blown away by Penn St.....then go up to the Carrier Dome and blow Cuse out by 30....then beat ranked Butler by 3 at home...meanwhile DePaul wins a few and almost beats Nova who looked great knocking off Creighton...so what team shows up today....think its the Johnnies with Ponds...now Ponds in his last few games the biggest impact freshman in college hoops except to UCLA's Ball...Ponds is avg 18 pts,6 bds,2 steals and shoots a cool 86% FT%...Lovett his partner is the kid I used to love..he is back after being out a few games...this team is on a roll and don't think DeP has the defense to stop them...Dep has 2 or 3 scorers but that won't be enough...Johnnies have awoken and with Ponds playing like he has recently Johnnies win by 5-10 pts on the rd..
Rutgers -1.5 over Penn St ***
Nites are 11-2,lost 2 in a row...Wisky beat them by 20....good welcoming for coach Pikeill...defense and rebounding is what he teaches....think it starts to pay off in the B-10...Williams,Johnson and Foreman have improved...they actually play defense..Sanders was benched the other day..he missed something so he was benched for a half...i know they haven't played anybody and have been living in the RAC...Penn St did lose to Northwestern by 10 the other day..Last yr they came to the RAC and won 70-58....think this year they find a different Rutgers team from last yrs 1-17 Big 10 Conf record...and Nites have Mich St,Iowa and Indiana on the road coming up next...they need a big -10 win today...
Seton Hall -3 over Marq **
Hall lost to Creighton by 14...but have Carrington and the Desi and Angel show..close game.. Marq has balanced scoring...
Cinncy -24.5 over Tulane ***
Cats aren't an explosive team but shut down offenses...Wave have no offense to shut down..think Bearcats have their way with the Wave...
