Metropolitans/Nationals-It's hard to believe we get New York @ this price after comparing today's starters. Dillon Gee for the Mets has been steady all season long but has been @ his best when pitching against the Nats this year. He is 3-0 allowing just 2 runs while scattering 17 hits over 19 innings. Has recorded 17 K's & not allowed a homer in those starts as well. Gee is 6-1 in his career against the Nats. Pitched very well last time out throwing 7 scoreless innings & allowing just 2 hits against Atlanta. Not much to say about Washington's Dan Haren except how disappointing he has been. Nats are 0-3 in his last 3 starts & an unbelievable 4-14 on the year. Haren had a rough outing in his last start against New York & was pulled after pitching only 4 innings allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. New York seems to be playing loose & they are 13-3 in their last 16 games following a loss. Washington on the other hand seem to be pushing a bit & they are hitting just .216 in their last 10 games. Think the pressure & injuries are taking their toll on the pre-season favorites to win the NL East. Nats are just 4-12 in their last 16 games. Lots to like about this selection so I'll take the Metropolitans +130!!! They win it 6-2:0074
Devil Rays/Yankees-Cheap price on the best team in the Majors right now & starter Chris Archer who is 3-0 with an 0.41 ERA in his last 3 starts for Tampa Bay. Archer should have no problem shutting down THIS Yankees line-up which is a shell of it's former self. Tampa is "ON FIRE" & if they can score just 3 or 4 runs today that should be enough to handle New York. Devil Rays over the Yankees 5-1:0074
