Have seen lots of "opinions" on Newt and understandably since he was the leader of contract with america and welfare reform--a definite :nono: with Da Base. :)

However we could see dejavu coming if history repeats

The facts--

Clinton 1st 2 years were much like O's with economy reeling--

Enter Newt and Rebs with their Contract with America that lead to one of greatest transfermation of power in history.

Under Clinton Rebs gain 45 seats in house --7 in senate-11 governors and in state legislative over a thousand seats.

Resulting in Newt and rebs having control and implementing Contract with America- which was
--Shrinking size of gov-lower taxes-and tort and welfare reform.

The results was last 6 years of Clinton admin in complete turn around under Contract with America lead by Newt and crew.

For 1st time we had a budget surplus which also carried over into 1st 2 years of Bush until funding for wars as result of 911.

So expect we see instant replay this year as country in same mood as it was at this point in Clinton admin--just hope we are not past point of no return.

So there you have a few facts on Newt and Contract with America

Expect the usual--we will see more "opinions" from Da Base --but none disputing the #'s (facts)

BBBBBBBBut I thought you blame Clinton for the Bush recession, which of course, under the sceneriaro you just painted, it would be Newts fault?

Please explain.

Do you chose not to explain your position. You claim Clinton is to blame for the Bush Recession. You have stated that numerous times. Yet, you claim Gnewt is to get credit for the great position we were in during the Clinton White House. So what was it? Were things pretty good when GW took over or were they bad? Did Gnewt have anything to do with it or not?

I await your answer. :0corn

Wrong on two counts there Budget Boy...

1. We had a budget deficit of $168 Billion in 2002 under Dubya.

2. The Bush Tax Cuts were the primary reason for budget deficits during his administration (although the "discretionary" war spending on Bush's layaway plan with foreign creditors eventually caught up with us).

Have another Budweiser and tell us some more stories... I like the story of "The Renaissance", where the subjects rise up against the evil King George and Dickus Maximus and proclaim a new leader beloved by not only his people, but by people around the world... and the "Age of Enlightenment" begins.

Looks like you again chose to ignore. Was Gingrich the cause of the great Clinton years and the cause of the Bush recession.

You can shove that chart right up your Arse. We all know the cause of Obama's deficit is trying to get us out of the hole Bush put us in. Is he doing a good job of it? I don't think so.

Also please state what was lrunning great and Obama screwed it up?

I better get more popcorn.:0corn
