What moves do you all think will be made? Any big signings or surprise trades? As rare as trades are in the NFL nowadays, I think it's more likely we'll see a couple of mid level names in new uniforms next year.

As an Eagles fan, I am starting to think we may have a chance at resigning Hugh Douglas. Between the additional surgery for Derrick Burgess and the stink Priest Holmes is raising in KC, he may not find the market bearing all he hoped.

I am also curious to learn more about the situations of OLB's Simmons, Colvin and Barber if anyone has any info. Starts Friday...

The Eagles have NO CHANCE at resigning Hugh Douglas.......I am a huge Birds fan and signs say he is going to drive up the turnpike and sign with the Giants. They have a substantial deal on the table ready to go for Friday which includes a $10 million signing bonus....There is no way that the Eagles can compete with that if they plan on re-singing Brian Dawkins, Troy Vincent, ans/or Bobby Taylor next year.

I would be real surprised to see Hugh wind up in NY...on just the reported two year deal. The Birds have a three year deal with an option for an additional year that they are working on with Steinberg. I've also read a couple of reports that say the Gmen can't pony up that kind of loot for a signing bonus. That's a lot of money to have tied up in your DE's when you have other pressing needs...even on the DL. If Hugh leaves Philly, I have a feeling it will be for KC or Buffalo.

Rumors have it that the Chiefs may try and go after Hugh Douglass. Now that they have restructured Greens contract and released so players they are around 7 million under the cap and will have some more room when they release more players at the June 1st deadline.

I hope they spend the money wise and leave Hugh Douglass out of the equation. They should go after Torrie james, Roosevelt Colvin and draft a defensive end who can play next to Ryan Sims for the next decade.

I'd like to see what Spurrier could do with a QB like Kordell Stewart. Doubt it will happen though.

Stewy-I think you may be right in regards to the Chiefs. With that extra cap space Douglas could be their top priority. With his leadership and experience, Douglas could be just what the Chiefs are looking for. I also hear they are interested in Barber and Colvin. Peterson could be a good fit as well and he is only 26.

Should be interesting.

Kordell...

Ravens have mentioned his name, but I don't think Raven's fans would 'get behind him' at all. They've been calling him a homo for years and old habits die hard.

I've never liked him as a player too much, but, he did enter last year as a starter. He's not a guy that's anyone's missing piece to take 'em to a championship game.

I agree with a guy I heard the other day on the radio, "Kordell's a good quarterback...in theory." He's got the legs, the bod, the arm, but just isn't as good as he should be between the lines.

Raven's need a good WR before picking up a QB anyway.

I miss football and baseball hasn't even started. Gahd.

I am still hoping that the Falcons land Peerless Price. Pasqueralli said that there is still a chance even though the Bills placed the tag on him.

Does anyone know how that really works?

The Falcons need to be on the hunt for WRs and DBs. We are pretty solid outside of those two position.

The next thing we need to recruit is an architect, so we can get a grass stadium. Vick is not going to last more than 5 years on the concrete!

JT, not a QB.....but spurrier traded for his rb today:

Washington Redskins traded their 4th round pick in this year's draft and OG David Loverne to acquire RB Trung Canidate from the Rams.

Wash. also signed Randy Thomas, who has played guard since he entered the NFL for the Jets. I was surprised with this signing because some of the NY papers that I read said that if Thomas went anyplace it would be Dallas since Parcells drafted him when he was with the Jets.

I read today that the Giants have cooled off on Hugh Douglas, because of price & instead will turn their attention to a DT from Seattle(sorry the name escapes me), who is 27 & alot of potential.

Their was a rumor going around this week that Stephen Davis was headed to Dallas, but I read someplace(possibly espn.com) that they were not interested in him.

I also read read that Emmit Thomas may head to the Bucs.

BTW, from what i understand the draft this year is very deep in defensive linemen.

Hugh Douglas and Shawn Barber of the Philadelphia Eagles have both scheduled visits with the Kansas City Chiefs. Folks, if you like future bets than the Chiefs are the way to go next season. Don't foget we are already getting two first round picks back on defense in Ryan Sims and Jerome Woods who were injured last season. Both could have probably played towards the end but Vermeil is very protective of his three year plans.

With the draft, free agency, and the return of Woods, and Sims the Chiefs will add 5 first round quality players to the defense. They are also rumored to be working out a deal with the Texans for the third overall pick for John Tait. It's apparent the Carl Peterson is gonna go all out building a defense this offseason for his dear friend Dick Vermeil and send him out as a winner.

Also, the Chiefs play one of the softest schedules in the NFL. Teams including the Texans, Bengals, Lions, and Vikings. The rest of the AFC west is also moving in the wrong direction. The Chargers and the Chiefs will probably fight for the West title up until the Chiefs lay the smack down on their asses.

Chiefs way over 9.5 wins, and Chiefs to win AFC West 2.5 to 1
