Watch the 30 30 documentary about Marty Glickman.
He was the best . He also knew when to be quiet.

Marty Glickman, imo was the greatest football announcer on radio....

Years ago the thing to do when attending a Giants game was to listen to Glickman with a transistor radio while watching the game in person....

There is a documentary of Glickman on HBO & the accolades of his style by big time announcers is very impressive....

I haven't been to this thread in a while but I would rather listen to nails on a chalk board all day long. She absolutely ruins any enjoyment and I have to turn the sound down or turn to another game. Her voice is bad and she gets excited over a 1 yard gain.

Announcers don't bother me because I very seldom listen to them....

Sound is usually off or I am busy doing something else while the game is on....
