Am I the only guy that can't figure this out?

The bottom of the screen scoreboard usually shows a little yard line that tells exactly where the ball is at on the field. I understand the arrow tells me who has the ball....but, how do you determine which side of the field they are on??

After three months of muttering to myself..I figured I would ask.

(I realize this thread will be polluted by Dog Chow and Bobby Blue Balls)

Thanks to the rest of you.

you need to check what side on the fifty yard line the arrow in on. should be very simple.

Either side of the fifty doesn't tell me which way they are going?...if it is on the left side of the fifty....How can i tell if they are driving N or S.

Yes, I am aware of those arrows....however...

On the actual scroll of the scoreboard there is small symbol of yard-line. I haven't figured out how they are telling us where the ball is on the field...

For example, I am watching a game and watching scores ...the arrow is by the team that has the ball (on scoreboard) and they have a little picture of a yard-line where the ball is actually at....but, they don't tell you what side of the field they are on....if they show the ball on 32 yard line...how do I know if they are in their own side of field or driving into opponents territory?

Thanks for trying.

This is how it works, you first see a 50 yard line, then look next to the scores, a yellow arrow will indicate how has ball. Second you see a number either left or right of 50 yard line(sometimes right on top) confusing yes, but under that number is a white line, that will either be left or right of the midfield white line, and a direction of said arrow.

EX. u see a 50 and a 42 on the screen, a yellow arrow next to team and a direction left to right or right to left, then look to see which side the white line is in relation to the 50 yard line, if u see red arrow , they are in red zone.
