I fully admit that I only glanced at Saturday's boring games. But was able to watch both games today. I am wondering what happened to the NFL favorite, refs calling offensive holding. I saw one holding (off) call in SF-Giant game where QB's threw for 700 yards. Can't really remember how many in Ptt-Brown game either, but I know that play wasn't interrupted on every drive for the ineveitable holding call on some poor offensive lineman, blocking back, tight end or wide receiver. I wonder wjhat happened? Did these teams suddenly stop holding on pass plays? Did the refs choose to ignore it unlike the regular season?
Does the league tell them to ignore it? This has nothing to do with who won or lost. I'd just like an explanation for this sudden change in officiating.
