Why did the Steelers beat the Bengals?

Because Carson Palmer was hurt, of course.

Why did the Steelers beat the Colts?

Because Manning choked and Indy was rusty. No doubt about it.

I've heard 'Cindarella' a lot this week. I think this is great because it implies that Pittsburgh is playing over their heads. And, of course, Cindarellas are never favored in the next game.

Denver is now the Super Bowl favorite. Perfect. Unfortunately, the wrong team is favored in this game. These teams are very similar, but three things tell me Pittsburgh.

1) Scratch home field advantage. Denver is great at home and Pittsburgh is great on the road.

2) Both defenses are very good, but Pittsburgh will get to the QB more often. Which brings me to....

3) The QB's. What has Jake Plummer done in the playoffs? If you think about it, not that much. One characteristic of a rattlesnake is that it gets rattled when faced with an imminent threat. This snake will throw picks instead of biting.

I don't trust Seattle as a franchise. However, I think they have too much on the field today. Alexander is back, which gives Seattle another threat.

Carolina is impressive, but Nick Goings as a starter? I think Seattle is able to control Carolina's running game. Smith will get his catches, but I don't think that Delhomme can win this by himself. Carolina is too banged up.
