After all of the criticism that the Jets have received this week, I expect Rex to have his team ready to play inspired ball for this game....I think that they want to be sharp for their big game next week against the Pats....
On the other hand, after last weeks 2nd half melt-down, I think the Bengals are demorialized....They are also hurting as they lost 2 defensive playmakers in the secondary to injuries & because of a short travel week will probably not be able to start....In addition, Palmer hasn't been able to practice this week because of a foot problem....
For the season the Bengals rush defense ranks 26th in the league & allows 4.6 yards per carry....Their offense hasn't performed much better as they have scored 21 or less points in 7 of their 10 games on the season & are ranked in the bottom half in the league in scoring....
The Jets offense this season has been inconsistent, as they average 23.8 ppg....But they do average 4.4 ypc....& although their defense lately hasn't been up to par, they have allowed just 14.7ppg in their last 13 home games....
Cin. is 17-34 ATS (33%) vs. good rushing teams - averaging >=130 rushing yards/game since 1992....The average score was Cin.17.2, Opponent 26.6....
Cin. is 0-6 ATS after failing to cover the spread in 3out of their last 4 games over the last 2 seasons...
