Overall Pre: 14-8-2

Observations from LN...Philly looking to use the no-huddle to compensate for lack of solid running game. Seems to fit McNabb well...and gives the back-up nod to Chang (coming from the "run and shoot" w/ June Jones @ Univ. Hawaii). But defensively another story...138 on the ground (4.3 pc and another 221 through the air...as well as getting smoked in time of possession. Reid better understand that with an effective no-huddle, defense can see alot more time on the field...obviously there is work yet to be done) and in all honesty game should have gone over the total...but hey that's why they call it gambling :yup

In the other game...went pretty much as I thought...total domination by the G-Men...and Kansas City (granted the starters didn't play that much...but only one trip in Giant territory all game ...Herman better be burnin' the midnight oil on game film evaluations.

But in the end...2-2

In tonight's games:

Chicago (-3')...after falling all over "Da Bears" LW, SF's Smith just riddles them. But tonight game is in Chicago, and using the same philosophy I did last week with the Lions. Chicago competing with Sox, and I see more of an all out effort. I don't see SD matching up well in any aspect, especially with no LT tonight. (I'm shyin' away from the total (34')...kinda iffy...but if asked, I'd lean toward the under. Lot of similarities to this game and KC/NYG contest)

Detroit (+2')...the god's must be smilin' on the Lions...they played well at home LW vs Denver and now travel to Cleveland (who has to be ranked as one of the worst teams this year) and get points. Look for another decent performance from the boys from Motown. And a definite lean to the Over (34). Neither team that impressive on "D".

In the third game...Bengals at the Bills. (I read Soul's thread and there's alot of validity to it.) But I think the better value is in the total...everyone knows Palmer's knee situation...but not much has been said of Wright's performance LW. He's not getting that many snaps with the 1st team and after a rough couple of series, settled down and looked pretty good. This week was more of the same, but I think he'll be more comfortable and be able to put some points on the board. Buffalo has one of the tightest QB races between Holcomb and Losman. Look for a game of "anything you can do, I can do better." LW Cincy "D" took advantage of Washington and new offense, don't see that happening this week. I'm playin the Over.

As Always GLTA :toast: Doc
