Preseason record 3-4 -1.25 units

Based on the coachspeak, KC seems to be more interested in this contest and they've got an actual battle for QB1 so starters have to stay in the game more. Getting on the key number today before Cameroon opens his mouth again and the number shoots to 6

Kansas City -3 (-120) one unit

Cowboys starters might be playing a bit longer in the first half than Denver's but it's still Shanahan in the preseason getting points and over a couple of key numbers

Denver +5 one unit

A run-based team playing a team that finished 31st in the league in rush D last year and has done nothing to improve and the starter (sans Tomlinson) will be playing for a half. St. Louis covered on accident last week. They care less about this game that San Diego.

San Diego -2.5 (-115) one unit

This game seems to definitely be a pass, but since I don't have the discipline, I'm going to make a play on the Giants.

Both teams seem to care about the first half, but Ravens have stated that they will keep on attacking with their defense into the second half. They make it seem that there's no risk to that approach. My thinking is that Philly was only expecting a base approach last week and weren't prepared for it and that the Giants may have some answers with the additional gameplanning that takes place in Game 2

New York Giants +3.5 one unit

The reason I don't is because I have in the past and when I do it seems to jinx me. I know it sounds stupid and has nothing to do with it but it just seems to work that way. Maybe I will do that when the reg. season starts - right now I am doing well and don't want to change anything. I know this streak will not last so I am trying to enjoy it while I can. Reality will set in very soon. Good luck this upcoming week.

Lucky for us, IO, that the rain cleared up just in time to start the work week.

I stop posting after bad runs to, Mister Covers, and then have a hard time starting again once things turn around. I've made a commitment not to do that this year as it's stupid even though I'm mega-superstitious. I'll still wear a Texas jersey with a Tech undershirt and A&M slippers to get myself out of severe funks :) , but the posting's not going to stop. Got lucky last night as nothing I thought was going to happen happened.

Bears don't win tonight for revenge, but they'll cover because their depth is stronger. Both teams don't care about this game, but I think the Bears cover on accident.

Bears -2.5 one unit

Maybe instead of pop, we could wager some local fare . . .

If the Colts cover, I could send you a pizza from Lou Malnatti's or Giordano's, maybe a italian beef package from Portillo's or Mr. Beef's or a Maxwell St. Polish

and if the Bears cover, you can send me a gift certificate to Olive Garden
