I'm surprised this hasn't been a topic of discussion in here....but these NFL negotiations have turned into a circus.....30 mins ago, Upshaw is spewing fighting words and saying there will be an uncapped season in 2007 and 08 and the players attorney is doing a dance talking about villains and what have you.......15 mins later a half hour before FA, it gets pushed back another 72 hrs.....come the fuk on already

I can speak from first hand negotiating experience between companies and unions, it's a complete joke. The amount of posturing going on is worse than what you even think it is based on what the media tells us.

The worst part is both sides know the other side is full of shit and also know where the common ground is but they decide to play this game anyway.

The NFL is an absolute cash cow for EVERYONE involved, no way they risk ruining it for anyone the way baseball has where small market teams can't compete. Even one uncapped season could do that. It's not like the NHL where you had teams losing money either.

There really isn't much to worry about, when idiot Upshaw gets enough face time and gets a deal where he can say he stuck it to the man this will all be over, and that's really what it's about.
