baltimore ravens (+6)
baltimore ravens moneyline (+190)

kinda scares me that gardenweasel doesnt have a whole lot of confidence in the purple and black. for better or worse, i do. not at all trying to diminish what the steelers have done, but theyve looked mortal the last few weeks. their last dominant effort was against cleveland. since then, theyve had average efforts vs. washington, jacksonville, nyjets, and nygiants. ben's been a little careless with the ball the last two weeks (4 INTs) and the ravens D can swing a game on defense. also, bettis hasnt done shit against baltimore in his career. part of the reason why pitt has been so good is because their run game has just allowed roethlisberger to manage the game. as good as ben is, the more pass attempts he has, the better the ravens chances are imo.

houston texans (+7.5)
houston texans moneyline (+270)

just not sold on the jags to take care of their business against a live dog. one thing ive always respected about houston is that -- are you listening browns? -- they never quit and they play hard every single week. they give their bettors their money's worth. jacksonville simply doesnt score enough to justify a TD+ chalk. carr had a great game against this defense 2 months ago, and texans have a realistic shot at 8-8 if they sneak one out here as the clowns come to texas next week.

With all due respect gman,

Don't like either of those. I sort of look at them as wrong spots. Think SD, jets and NOrleans look better as dogs. But then again I've been laying too much chalk lately and I was a big loser today wit the Chiefs.

The only thing I think I am going to play is the Jets tomorrow. Best of luck and thanks for always posting your picks --- you have made me some good money this year.

Merry Christmas,

kneifl

Gman..I have been looking at this game from every angle and I cant get a feel for it...Peyton will shred up our secondary, one of the worst in the leauge i believe...but on the other hand LT will run through this Colts D like it is no thing...What I dont like in this situation is experience, and Peyton and his boys know they need al lthe momentum they can get going into the playoffs, and the bolts my friend are fairly happy to be anywhere NEAR the playoffs...newscasts in San Diego have had a tone as if they don't think the Chargers are gonna win this one anyway...The colts will either blow them out and cover, or the Chargers will win straight up by controlling the ball with LT and keeping Peyton off the field...Good luck to you brother

Taking the 1/2 point in the SD game seems like great value. The chargers continue to roll and tomorrow will be a great test for them against that indy 'O'! I think that indy wins in what is a one possession game for most of the day. Teased indy -1/jack -1, and SD +13/jack -1. Trying to hit the middle here.

My 2 cents

My 2 cents

I feel the play is SD +7 and under the 56-.SD is 4-0-1 as a road dog,and they have gone under their one try on turf this year.Indy is 5-2 as a home fav ATS and has had 4 overs 2 unders and a push against he opening over unders at home this year.I show Indy 23-20,but I will acknowledge that there is an Indy "bias" in this series and I am playing the under 56- not the team.GL either way

vyrus: thanks for the info. ill just sit that one out and watch it.

gjn: i had no idea the bolts were on that kind of spread run. damn. pittsburgh has gotten all the hype along with philly but it looks like san diego is the real deal when it comes to cashing tickets.

kneifl:jets need this one, but not sure if i can go against brady coming off such a subpar performance on monday night. jets favored in some books now, which is both telling and surprising at the same time.

Gman. I know you dont like to play overs but I think I might go over tonight with your boys. What are your thoughts on what the Browns offense might do tonight. I actually think they put 20 + points up tonight

GMan,

Since I am going to the Rose Bowl I can get you a pair of ducats to the Clowns-Texans game for real cheap. I KNOW you wouldnt want to miss that tilt.

late plays:

carolina panthers 2nd half under 20
just dont see the panthers getting too tricky in the 2nd half. if they manage the game correctly, they get out of tampa with a road win and their playoff hopes still alive. should be a conservative final 30:00 from fox and co. im not sure this game goes over the original posted total.
