This could be one crazy SUNDAY in the NFL. I am expecting some major upsets today as mentioned in another thread, but I have some teasers and totals I like and played like this:
BUFF OVER 37 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
ATL OVER 45 *** TRIPLE PLAY ***
CLEV is in turmoil.... they have given up 100 pts the past two weeks and BUFF has their Offense rolling right now. BILLS may score this many themselves today, but I think CLEV gets at least 13, and BUFF around 30.
RAIDERS can't stop anyone and with ATL coming off a big loss at TBAY, I think VICK rebounds here at home and puts up some huge numbers. I would not be surprised if we are not within 7 of this total by HT. ATL is not great on DEFENSE, so OAKLAND should get at least 24 here, but still lose the game, just like last week.
Here are my 6.5 Pt Teasers:
ATL -1 & JAX -.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
SAINTS +13.5 & HOU +17.5 ** DOUBLE PLAY **
I like the FALCONS for the reasoning above, and JAX is playing well with LEFTWICH back. They should have beat PITT last week and although CHI has a shot at the playoffs, JAX does too and I think the HOME FIELD will prevail here.
DALLAS is primed for a letdown and they are another team having problems on DEF. Not that SAINTS are a juggernaut, but with JONES doing most of the damage for DALLAS, I think this game will stay close. N.O. is due to break out soon, and today should be the day in DALLAS.
INDY can again clinch the DIVISION in HOUSTON, and I think they do. However, with the playoffs approaching, I can't see DUNGY allowing PEYTON to get hurt later in this one. INDY doesn't have a great defense, and HOU can and will do some scoring here at home. I doubt if HOU can win this one, but it should be close.
One last play - 3 Team Sweetheart 10 PT Tease:
VIKINGS +3.5

JETS +15 *** TRIPLE PLAY ***
I know all about the VIKINGS meltdowns the past few years, but this year SEA is the team in meltdown mode. HOMGREN is probably gone after this year, since I don't see SEA making the playoffs despite a 3-0 start.
CULPEPPER and MOSS should hook up today, and hook up alot and although MINN is lacking on DEF, they should be able to keep SEA under 30, and if they do, MINNY wins. Playing the TEASER to get the +3.5 with VIKES, since yes, it is DEC, and we all know how MINNY finishes.
JETS should give STEELERS fits today with PENNINGTON back in the lineup and getting them plus more than 2 TD's is too much to pass up. Besides, weather should factor in and make this more of a running / defensive game so in a FG contest, I'll take the 15.
