Does anyone Know what the dog record is straight up? Just wondering how profitable the Money Line would be.
Dogs by my #'s ATS this year are 75-52-3. Of the 75 covers, 53 were outright wins, 22 were just spread covers. So I guess that makes dogs 53-77 SU (40.8%) after adding in the pushes. Note that this is significantly higher than recent years' statistical averages, where dogs have usually won 32-36% of games outright.
Last year I had dogs for the full season (including playoffs) going 126-118-12 (plus 3 Pick Em games), with 87 outright wins for the dogs and 39 spread covers.
2000: Dogs 131-119-6-3, 91 outright, 40 spread.
1999: Dogs 131-115-9-4, 85 outright, 46 spread.
That should be enough data to evaluate it.
