The Browns are the laughing stock of the NFL, they have won a season opener once in the last 19 years and lost 6 straight to the Steelers. Sure Pitt will be without Lev Bell today but they still have the best WR in the game, an up and coming Ju Ju and some great young talent in Washington and Connor. They will have all the motivation in the world to not be that team to give the Browns there first win in forever. xstop We have to look closer. The Steelers have lost 5 of there last 7 road openers and are 2-8-1 ATS in there last 11. Todd Haley is now in Cleveland and this should not be overlooked, he knows this steeler team and there tendencies. The Browns have added some good talent on the offensive side (Landry, Hyde, Tyrod) and were already respectable on the defensive side. It took special teams and defensive plays for Pitt to sneak out a win last year in Cleveland, in fact both matchups were close (21-18 and 28-24). Tyrod doesn't turn the ball over and the excitement and new veteran players will change the culture of the Browns and they may just squeak out a shocker today.

Play the Browns +4 -118 $236 to win $200
Play the Browns ML +170 $100 to win $170

The Jags defense is nasty, they went on a historic run last post season taking out the Bills at home and then traveling to Pittsburgh and pulling off the unexpected rather easy win against the Steelers. In the championship game they bowed to the Pats but put up a respectable fight losing by 4 as a 7.5 pt dog. The Giants went 3-13 last year, had a clueless head coach and an Eli Manning who looked lost out there running for his life with a bad O-line. Fast forward to the NFL draft where they chose a stud RB in Barkley and have added some pieces on the Oline to protect an aging Eli. Jags are 3-17 ATS last 5 years vs NFC teams and are 0-3 at Met Life vs the Giants. Looking for the Gmen to ride there young stud :142smilie and keep this close and possibly win outright.

Play the Giants +3 -125 $125 to win $100

The Vikings were 1 game away from the Superbowl last year (also 1 pick 6 away from not making the NFC championship game) and then they lost coordinator Shurmur to the Giants and let Case Keenum go so they could over pay for a QB who has never won a playoff game. Minny is loaded at the skill positions and have a healthy Dalvin Cook ready to go after he looked outstanding last year early before a season ending injury. We will soon find out if Jimmy G is the real deal or hype as he will face a tough Viking defense in a hostile environment. The 49ers lost McKinnon who you know had this game circled and will now turn to an aging Morris and a less expierienced Brieda out of the backfield. I think Minny starts slow today with Cousins needing time to get chemistry. Shannahan is one of the NFL's best play callers and will keep the 49ers close in this one.

*Niners were 5-2 ATS on the road last year

Play the 49ers +7 -130 $130 to win $100

I'm curious how it's "unexpected" when everyone in the world is on Cleveland today?

You mention Haley as knowing the Steelers so well, yet when he was the OC in Pittsburgh it didn't appear like he knew a damn thing. On the subject of Haley, don't think for one second Big Ben doesn't want to jam this one down his throat. Ben hated Haley and this is his chance to show the organization he was right to run him out of town.

Careful, one of these two teams is still better than the other at every position.

Seems to me the Browns are the sexy pick this year and I see a lot of cappers on them, a lot. I'm on record as saying the Steelers aren't a playoff team this year, but I do think they get past Cleveland.

Good Luck today and this season Penguinfan. Hope they work the Bell thing out and things go your way this season....just not today
