I'll be looking forward to a write-up to see why you both like the Lions so much in this one. I haven't looked into games for this week yet but I always have a hard time backing a team that has sucked as much as Detroit (not that I expect much from a team QB'd by Ponder).

AP is the fear not so much ponder, lions rush defense gave up 5.7 yards/carry vs him last yr. could see that leading to some big plays downfield for Jennings, Rudolph, Patterson. Def wanting to see what Jord does :0008

Last season Det only had 2 losses by more than 10 and 5 losses were 4pts or less. I think they will improve on that and play much better esp with picking up Reg Bush.

That was what I thought too before I watched the preseason. I watched them in their first three preseason games. They will be better on offense. Bush looks great!! Johnson barely played, but he looked great on his one series. Stafford looked like Stafford. Questionable decision making, and he seems out of shape to me.

The defensive front is the best in football. However, behind that this defense has major concerns. Any team that can pick up the pass rush will shred it.

Stupid penalties look to be built into this franchise now like they used to be with the Raiders. If you bet on them this season, be prepared for some cursing at some absolutely boneheaded penalties.

All that said, I tend to agree with Jord here. The Vikings are not the kind of team that will expose Detroit's defensive weaknesses. In fact, I think I'll go put my bet in now before the line rises.

Everyone and I mean everyone is picking the Motor City Kitties to throttle the Purple. Haven't seen one person pick the Vikings. It doesn't help when EVERY ESPN analyst is saying that the Vikings are a no brainer to be a team that doesn't make the playoffs from last year. Many are picking the Vikes in the North basement. The whole country is brain washed by the pundits and so called experts. Maybe they brain washed me too cause I was high on this team about 6 weeks ago
