NFL Week #14...I feel this is a tough week overall but I'm playing these two plays SMALL.

2 game 6 point Teaser
Carolina Panthers +0.5
&
Minnesota Vikings -0.5

Panthers +0.5?The Panthers are coming off of an impressive home win over the Falcons and now face a Bucs team that they match-up with real well and a team that they have dominated recently?the two teams met IN Tampa back on 11/06 and the Panthers came out with an impressive 34-14 victory?in that game the Panthers sacked QB Simms 5 times and harassed his all day long?one of the keys to this match up is the the Bucs O-Line which is below average in my estimation going up against a Panthers D-Line that has dominated them in the past?I don?t see why anything will be any different this week?the Panthers are 5-1 SU at Home this season?5-1 ATS in their last 6 overall?8-1 ATS in the teams last 9 meetings AND have beaten the Bucs the last 5 times the teams have played.
Carolina 20 Tampa Bay 14

Vikings -0.5?When your Hot your Hot!...and the Vikings are Hot!..the team is 5-0 SU since QB Brad Johnson has taken over the reigns at QB and has stabilized the team?Johnson is a veteran that knows how to lead a team and Not make mistakes?before Culpepper was hurt he threw 12 INTS and just 6 TD passes?the Vikings have come together as a team and their Defense has seemed to jell as of late and is playing good ball under D-Coordinator Ted Cottrell?I just knew it was only a matter of time before that unit turned it around because they had too much talent to play as poorly as they did at the start of the season?this week the Vikings play a Rams team that has disappointed their fans this season?the Rams offensive line at this time resembles a mash unit and their defense has played poorly especially on the road?the Rams are 2-4 SU on the road this season BUT their 2 wins were a 17-12 win over Arizona and a Lucky 33-27 come from behind win at Houston in a game that the Texans collapsed and gave the Rams the ?W??the Vikings are 4-1 SU at Home?4-0 ATS in their last 4 at Home and have won 5 straight?the Rams are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall?this is a battle of 2 teams headed in the opposite direction!
Minnesota 27 St. Louis 17

New England Patriots -3 (buy the 1/2 point)
Over Buffalo

These teams met in NE on a Sunday night back on 10/30 with the Pats coming from behind to win 21-16 in Teddy Bruschi?s debut?I was on the Bills + points that week?but not this week?the Bills team is in turmoil and collapsed on the road last week blowing a 21-0 lead in Miami?this week the team has all but suspended WR Eric Moulds who wont play on Sunday because of a disagreement with Coach Mullarkey and Bills Hb Willis McGahee admitted in an interview yesterday that ?it?s chaos around here??the Bills fans have turned on the team and are calling for GM Tom Donahoe?s head after he termed a caller on his weekly radio show ?a jerk??Bills fans will be bringing signs to the game that read ?Jerk Nation? and of course ?Go Donahoe and take Mullarkey with you??even a local radio show is getting in on the act and they will be giving out beef jerky sandwiches at their tail-gate party before the game
...as you can see?the situation is a mess and the Bills Organization is on the edge of blowing up!...this week a demoralized Bills team takes on a Pats team that has beaten them 4 straight games and 9 out of the last 10 meetings?the Pats are 7-3 ATS in those games and can win the AFC East straight out with a win this week?the only reason I?m not making the Pats a Big Play this week is because the Bills have been solid at home this season and are 3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games...however?I just don?t see the Bills giving the effort for a coach that has upset several veterans on the team and pulling the upset under the circumstances that I mentioned above is out of the question.
New England 24 Buffalo 16

Yes,very nice write ups

I like the rams this week +6.5.Vikes been playing over there heads,i believe the rams hang around in this game. The Vikes are another team to where if they get behind it will be tough to catch up.Fitzpatrick has the weapons if he gets time they should put up points this week.

Thanks Soul!

One of the reasons I teased the Vikes instead of playing them straight out is the fact that the Rams receiving core is back in tact after suffering through some mid season injuries...however...their offensive line is banged up and i feel the Vikings will exploit that weakness...plus...I think Brad Johnson will be able to exploit that Rams secondary...hopefully we will both be right with the Rams catching a cover for you but the Vikings winning straight out.

Adding another SMALL Play for the week as I take advantage of the extra points in this 4 game 13 point tease.

My 4 game 13 pointers are 6-2 on the season!

Cincy Bengals +0.5...Are you kidding!...getting points at Home!...I really like Browns Rookie Charlie Frye but he's facing an opportunistic Bengals secondary without his favorite receiver Braylon Edwards. :help:

KC Chiefs +16...I think the Cowboys "D" will have a tough time stopping "Grand Ma Ma" Larry Johnson and th 'Boys will be starting two backups (Torrin Tucker and Rob Petitti) at the Offensive Tackle position...the 16 points is a gift since the Chiefs may not even need the points in this one. :Yep:

San Diego -1...The Fins will find out fast that they're not playing the Bills this week and this one could turn into a rout! :Yep:

Denver -2...Can you spell rout Part II?...this one should be a laugher from the start and all I need the Broncos to do is win by 3! :mj07:

Number one let me congratulate you on the great year you're having. That's quite a spectacular winning percentage :mj14: I came thissss close to replying in your thread last week and had to bite my tongue more than once ;) I have responded in a negative manner maybe two or three times as a member of MJ's. I just could not for the life of me understand why people were knocking your success with teasers, and how you would be winning SO MUCH more with straight wagers. :mj07: A win is a win, right!?! I've been successful with both straight wagers and teasers this year in the NFL. Teasers, which may not normally be the way to go (usually Vegas' best friend) have been a golden goose this year. I don't have to analyze after the game how much more I COULD have in my account by sticking with straight bets and ignoring the teasers. Any week I can collect the green from my book makes me happy :) I may not be driving a Cadillac but I'm perfectly content with my Chrysler (and I don't have to fill it up as often ;) )

And secondly, I congratulate you for holding up so well under fire. You kept a much cooler head under the circumstances than most would have. Must have been banging your head on the desk a few times :) You can't convey to some (and I do see where they're coming from but why look a gift-horse in the mouth....geez I'm getting old :mj07: ) Thank goodness your play came in last week or they would have been back with their claws and "told ya so's") :mj14: I think some of your visitors last week have been reading too many of beantownjim's posts and his mentality is rubbing off on them :scared

GL on your plays this week. I like 'em all

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'Boys win this one at home because they only have only lost once (in O.T. to Denver) on their home field this season....but with that said...they're banged up on their O-Line which is bad news for an immobile Drew Bledsoe and 2 of their original starting LB'ers Dat Nguyen and Al Singleton are Out which will improve the chances of Larry Johnson running on the 'Boys especially if the Chiefs linemen get to the second level...this one could go either way and I see a game that should be decided in the 4th quarter which makes the 16 pts a gift.
Good Luck Today!
