Wanted to get this started, It's midway thru week 2 in the NFL, what have you learned?

I have learned that the bears are legit.

I also have learned that Oakland would be smoked by USC.

agree, but think bears need to play a solid team, then i'll really be a believer. i also was reminded that mcnabb can self-destruct.

Colts will go 13-3 and choke in the playoffs

Tampa Bay is a high school squad

Carolina is the most over-rated team in sept and oct. Only time to bet on them is when they go 4 under .500

Detroit may score 40 total points by game 10

Saddly enough Seattle goes back to the superbowl and loses again

G.B. is just horrendous

Dante Culpepper is the biggest waste at the QB position

The Raiders are well who knows what to say about them

agree the bears are legit. especially if grossman performs well.

the raiders would beat usc by 50 without breaking a sweat. they are still the worst team in football by a mile. the pro speed is just way too fast for most college kids.

agree indy will go 13-3 or better. i think they will go deep in playoffs though.

giants showed heart.

cincinatti is gonna go far if healthy.

browns suck, no surprise but could manhandle the raiders.

and yeah, what everyone else says about culpopper.

I have to be scratching my head about denver. they got a k.c. squad who is weak at best at qb and its a divisional game which is critical, their at home and losing. Hell they haven't even scored. I have no $$$ on them that is just pathetic.

I've learnt that I would make a better owner/CEO/GM/coach of Tennessee than whoever is in those jobs!!

Nice work of spending at least 2.1M on a guy who has thrown for exactly ZERO yards in a half of football. :mj07:

(I would have gone after Cleo Lemon, but it looks like he'll have the Miami starting job before too long! :142smilie )

U may wanna forget about denver jake is back in reality mode and is forcing balls and throwing stupid picks. If denver wins it would be a shock. K.c. may win staright up with a depleted team. Plummer is another joke in the NFL if they lose here it may be a matter of time before the snake gets skinned and tanned.

HELL
1. There might be a few teams to go winless this year no shit,

Oakland
GB
TENN
Cleveland
Houston

2. I will never bet on any of the above teams again, not even if the consensus is 100%. I am not going to be the hero anymore.

3. Outside of the above mentioned shit, from here my list of potential no bet teams are ones that have bum QB's...

Miami
TB
Denver

Simms is a pussy. Culpepper sucks. Plummer should quit.

Welcome to having DirecTV to watch all this junk.

I have learned that the bears are legit.

no, not yet....being a long-time BEARS fan...they're winning with smoke and mirrors like last season, and then they got smoked by a real team in the playoffs that had a good balance of "O" and "D"

....yes...they won against inferior opponents....GB and Detroit....what?

Hopefully Grossman will continue to put up career like numbers...he's gonna need to.

Let's reserve the judgement on them until they play a solid team a few weeks down the line....

and lookin at their sched....geez, there isn't anything i'm really excited about...

9/24/06 @ Minnesota
10/01/06 Seattle
10/08/06 Buffalo
10/16/06 @ Arizona
10/29/06 San Francisco
11/05/06 Miami
11/12/06 @ N.Y. Giants
11/19/06 @ N.Y. Jets
11/26/06 @ New England
12/03/06 Minnesota
12/11/06 @ St. Louis
12/17/06 Tampa Bay
12/24/06 @ Detroit
12/31/06 Green Bay

not to disrespect any other teams....but the real litmus test will be against Seattle and N.E....if they split or go 2 - 0 then it would be reason to say that they could be real.

they have a real patsy schedule this season....but you know what, they still gotta win the games.

exactly....i'd be worried about that Denver team...they pretty much had a KC team that couldn't have been in anymore worse shape and it takes O.T to beat them???? barely????

Grossman will probably never have another game like today.

As I said last week, Bears will dominate this division. As a local, two things really stand out this year over last. They are using their tight end and fullback MUCH MORE in the offensive attack. We have yet to see how they do against the rest of the league. Hopefully they will go farther in the post season.

Lots-o-fish jumped on the Lions with the td and the hook today. Most likely the biggest trap bet on the board. People need to wake up and forget about last year's performances by most of the league or they'll donate more money.
