Jags show very strong in two nationally recognized games and go to Washington who proved only that they're not as bad as Houston. And the game opens at -2.5? If it's a trap, the books can have my money because I enjoy betting against Brunnell waaay too much

Jacksonville -3 (+110)

I actually agree with Roy Williams and Detroit's offense is close to being very strong (not 40 points strong - but, strong). They did more to hurt themselves two weeks ago vs. the Bears than Chicago did.

Detroit +5.5 (-107)

Has nothing to do with emotion or letdown. Saints are just the better team.

New Orleans +7.5 (-115)

This is the smashmouth team on the grass that can give the Bears defense fits. Seattle is the team that keeps the Halas trophy out of Chicago this year. Chicago's complete lack of concern for a running game since the preseason hurts them here.

Seattle +3.5 (-115)

PAIN. . . Lots and lots of PAIN. McNair's experience and game management is the difference.

Baltimore +2.5 (-104)

Think New England sticks to a ground game and will let Cincy drive all day to kick FGs

NE/Cincy Under 46.5

"the bunker"
i get the "anti-consensus" seattle play.....

i`m waiting for someone to come into the thread with the obligatory "sharps vs squares" comment.....

i like chicago-1 and -3....i think, after scoring 40+ last week(which i love)....and with their documented road issues....vs a better defense and renewed offense....a chicago team that finally gets some of the well deserved spotlight.....

i don`t care how many "squares" like `em...i`ll cop to being a square....

not sure about the ravens.....and i`m no homer when it comes to wagering....but...

the ravens will obvioulsy concentrate on tomlinson...they have mobile linebackers...and may be a bit stronger in this game without terrell suggs...he makes lots of mistakes...certainly can`y cover anyone out of the backfield,imo...

they`ll replace him with touted "2nd year rookie" dan cody and veterans gary stills and jarrett johnson....all solid players......

lewis/adalius thomas/player of the month bart scott and the triumvirate on the edge will focus on tomlinson....that`s a given...

the ravens want to keep tomlinson from beating them...to make phillip rivers have to make plays....if brees were playing,i`d leave this alone...

but,it`s looking like ed reed will play.....we have solid, experienced corners in rolle and mcallister...a ballhawk in reed....a hitter in rookie safety landry...

and they`re home...

i think theres been an over reaction to the cleveland game..cleveland is our bitter rival...they usually beat us in cleveland.....

neither team has beaten any powerhouses...

we`ll see...imo+3 at home with the ravens is a decent wager....

iif reed doesn`t play,i`ll be more concerned...

and for some strange reason,i really like the chiefs this weekend...regardless of green...

I've stopped trying to be a sharp years ago and I don't think that the Bears are a square pick. Just a feeling that they're a tad bit overconfident and that they don't match up with solid OLines.

I agree 100% on the Ravens.
