I'll update the record in a bit - it's no good

Ever since Lovie came to Chicago the emphasis has been on speed on defense and getting a team designed more to stop a finesse team on the turf than a smash mouth team on grass. Since the Dallas game which saw Tommy Harris, Lance Briggs and Nate Vasher all get injured, the Bears are giving up an average of 142 yards on the ground and 4.9/carry.

They come off a game where they were at home, won the TO battle by 3 and still couldn't win against a Giant team looking for any reason to implode. Now they go on the road against a team that is better at running the ball, stopping the run and less prone to making mistakes.

I'm probably not going to find a bet in the NFL I feel better about than this one.

Washington -3 2 units

Seems like a pretty tough card - I don't think that I can get hurt too bad by going with some desperate home dogs against some pretty comfy road faves

Detroit +10.5(-115)
Tennessee +1(-115)
Houston +3 (-120)

i like tenn a bit meself.....

i also like the bungles with their 3 pronged passing attack laying the big wood vs brock berlin and the hapless rams....

i see this as a chance for palmer/henry/owens and houshman$%&?@ to play loose and have a field day....

it's just the rushing D that the Bengals bring - even with 9 in the box - that scares me about the 10.5 - Good Luck to you, GW
