1-0 last post, hitting the Washington/TB under a couple days ago. Here's what I have for tonight:

1) Nashville ML (+180) 1*

Phoenix shouldn't be anywhere near this big of a favorite unless they are playing Atlanta. Nashville has been playing fairly well, just not getting the breaks. Out of their 8 losses, 7 of them have been by one goal. They're a young team as well so I don't think the back to back angle hurts them as much as some other teams.

2) San Jose ML (-125) 1*

I don't like this Anaheim team without Oates. The Ducks are also coming home off of a long road trip, which is generally a good fade situation.

Good luck!

good luck tex..just read this, thought it was pretty funny. i'd like to have been to this practice--

With three days until their next game, the Red Wings had fun at practice Wednesday. The coaches let Brett Hull and Brendan Shanahan play general manager and draft teammates for a scrimmage.

"We did odds-and-evens for who got the first pick overall, and then we did paper-scissors-stone for who got to pick the first goalie," Shanahan said.

It was almost as if Hull and Shanahan were real NHL execs.

"The only difference was we didn't go out to dinner the night before and drink a lot of wine and spend an obscene amount of company money on having a good time," Shanahan joked.

With some Wings injured or working out off-ice, the game was 3-on-3. It was relatively intense, and not just because Hull took feisty Sean Avery with the first pick. Lewis said "a dollar or two" was bet on the outcome.

Shanahan set the tone by taking his White team to its own face-off circle for pregame stretching. No one argued with the referee, because it was assistant coach Joe Kocur, former NHL heavyweight.

Tied at 5 after about 30 minutes of regulation and a three-minute overtime, the game went to a shoot-out.

Shanahan went first and beat Curtis Joseph. "I thought I would lead by example," he said.

Manny Legace stoned Pavel Datsyuk. Joseph stoned Sergei Fedorov. Legace stoned Stacy Roest. Then Henrik Zetterberg beat Joseph for a White victory.
