NHL TONITE... CAR vs DET ~ Any thoughts or opinions ???

I believe strongly that Detroit will ultimately take this series. However, it won't be easy. Detroit will test the Canes early and often in game 1. Carolina has had a lot of rest, and as a team, inexperience in the Stanley Cup Finals. Also will they be a bit rusty.

The only way Carolina has a chance to win a game or two, is to play the famous trap. Arturs Irbe has played well and they will want to attempt to slow the pace of this game down. That being said, I think the smartest side play in game one is Carolina +1? (-?). Shop for the lowest line you can find.

SIA has them at +1? -120 as of this writing.

I am not playing a side in Game 1 and would love to see the Wings trounce them tonight.

I am playing the over 41/2 in game one as well. This morning the over 41/2 line at carib was -120 and it is now currently at even money. Obviously someone has made a significantly large play on the under to make the line move so drastically. My only concern is that I can feasibly see Hasek getting another shutout in this game one, so obviously I am hoping the mission minded RED WINGS score atleast 5 on Irbe. Good luck tonight! $$$$
