and now: THE PLAYS

1) CAROLINA AT NEW JERSEY Under +5.0 -115 ( 2 units)

2) BUFFALO AT VANCOUVER Under +5.5 -120 ( one unit)

3) OTTAWA AT PHILADELPHIA Under +5.5 -110 ( 2 units)

Ottawa is the NHL's second-best team defensively this season, surrendering just 2.00 goals per game. However, the Sens have found the back of the net a paltry 14 times in six games - the lowest mark in the league.

Not surprisingly, five of Ottawas' first six games have fallen 'under' the posted 'total'. The last eight meetings between these clubs have also played 'under'.

Ottawa's weak offense is in for a tough time against a Philadelphia defense giving up a miserly 2.00 goals per game over its last five.
