Going to the Leaf game on Wednesday. Should be a blast. Big street party starting at 4pm. Thank god hockey is back. Anyone else going to the Leaf game? Go downtown anyways, should be a blast with free food and prizes.

Don't have any lines on these games but going to going to take them. Will update later.

OTTAWA ML Don't see how the Leafs will compete against a fast team like Ottawa. Grit and heart and all that other stuff doesn't work here. The better team wins, and that is Ottawa! High Scoring affair I think as well, waiting for a number on the total before I pull the trigger

Mighty Ducklings ML - Like em!!! Lots of talent on the Ducks.. Blackhawks might be in for another long season. Only thing I don't like is Giggy in net. I think with the equipment size being limited for goalies, he is now 10 inches shorter/smaller all around.

GL Boys!!!

GL this year Emmitt! TB-.5 is safe. I only have a ML option right now and TB-280 for the first game is too much juice for my liking. TBay lines will be high after last season.

Bankroll is 50 Units

Took Ottawa ML-125 for 2 Units(includes overtime and Penality Shots) - Well, I called in my football game and got in my first hockey play. Was a little surprised to see only a -25 but... it is the first game and Leafs just love Ottawa.

Different story this year. Ottawa is one of the few teams who didn't lose any chemistry. Heatley is new but the rest of their core is intact. Spezza will be better, Heatley changed the chapter in his life and the new rules will suit this offense just fine. Power play unit will be strong.

Leafs = I'm not going to start bashing the Leafs cause... I'm just not. They need to stay healthy to have a chance this year. Eddy is huge for the Leafs but I just don't think they have the speed to compete against the fast team like Ottawa.

BTW. I will be wearing my Leaf jersey at the game. The Jersey has a 1-9 record at home.

Bailed on the Ducks.

Got to see more hockey games played. Lots of players have changed teams, I feel dizzy!!

GL BOYZ!!!!!!!!!!! :mj14:

That will be the way to go this year! Hockey lines seem to have moved sorta like soccer. There will be times the ML is good but there a lot more times when the extra 1/2 will save you $$. ML on the dog.

Watrdogg!! Hope all is well with you. Take a ride downtown tonight at the ACC. Should be a blast. Street party starting at 4pm. Good luck to you this season as well..

Vancouver -190 3.8 to win 2 units - Lots and Lots of Juice here. I feel a little sick already taking a high fav but.. They are playing the the Yokes who showed they are having problems. Talent wise they teams are on opposite ends (note the juice). It will take some time for the Yokes to get going. Yokes will be the bottom of the barrell this year, even with Gretzsky back there. Nucks will be ready for the season opener tonight.

GL TO ALL!!! 7.5 more hours!!! :)

Only thing I dont like about the Ducks is Giguiere. I seen one game in the preseason and it just looks like he didnt look too comfortable. Giggys style seems to be that of a positional goalie and now that he has shrunk with the equipemnt changes, I just can't put my money on him till I see him win a few games.

Main reason I bailed on this game is becuase its the 1st game of the season and I don't want to go too crazy on day 1. Ducks can win without a doubt but I see this going into overtime and with the shootout, anyone can win. If I had to bet this game, I like the under in this matchup, otherwise a pass for me!

Kick, If you or anyone want to buy some tickets, let me know. I got a few friends who got seasons and some other tickets. 1 friend has Reds and the other purples. The guy with the reds was soemthing like $240-250 (i hope I misunderstood) per ticket. Ticket price is something like $175 plus the administration charge for $50+ per ticket for seasons.. anyways, i will get a list tonight from him and post it..

Getting ready to go DOWNTOWN!!!! Had to stop by Jacks to see all the BOYZ from last year..

Added

Calgary -135 (1 unit).. Took pic from Terryray, Gabriok and Koivu are out and while I think the home teams will shine tonight, hard not to back a Sutter team with all that speed and JEROME!!!

Won 2.6 units..

Toronto game was awesome!!!!!!!!!! Got a chance to be a part of history with tonights only shoot-out.. It feels wierd when you're cheering for BOTH teams at game. The fans snapped when I jumped up when Ottawa tied the game 2-2, less than 1 minute after Leafs restored the lead... with my Leaf jersey on. :mj07: Spent more money tonight than I won on the Ottawa game .. sure, $11 for a beer.. geez. Belfour was HUGE tonight..

Sundin went down in the 1st, did not return, hit in the face/head with the puck. Next game is saturday vs Montreal, in Toronto, Montreal will be coming into the game in a 3 game 4 night situation on Saturday.

Ottawa, well, they are basically the same team like last year, they play so cheap vs the Leafs and take sooo many penalities. Their composure is just so different against the Leafs... I guess after Belhour stoned them a few times in the first. They then decided to sleep thru the second and woke up with less than 10 minutes left in the game. Only reason they won tonight, Sundin didn't play in the 2nd-3rd, Leafs could not execute on the power play, I think they were 1/10.. and had 2 - 2 man powerplays and a 4 minute power play and complete mental breakdown on the tieing 2-2 goal.. Once it went to penality shots, it was a toss-up. Eddy vs the Goal scorers.. Goal scorers win.

I think Ottawa will continue to win if the game goes to a shootout. They have more than 5 skilled, goal scorers and proven goalie if he stays healthy. Tonight they sent Alfreddson, Havlat and Heatley....

Vancouver took care of business, got to see their version of a prevent defense with 1 guy forchecking and the others all on their blue line. Nasland is great! Playoff team without a doubt.

Dont know what happened to Calgary, seen the scoreboard at the game and at one point it was 3-0 Minny.. didnt pay much attention after that.

So.. as I ramble on and on, contemplating not to go to work tomorrow and watch Wednesdays hockey games recorded on my PVR I must say that the hockey looks a lot better. With the centre line removed forwards can sneak behind the defense and get a breakaway or odd man rush. Much more flow and players are still getting use to the changes and each other. I seen a few penalities not called tonight, others which I did not understand but there were lots of calls. Penalities will continue.

I think a look at the game totals and grand day totals would be a good thing. Of course teams will learn on how to sit on a lead but if the Refs keep calling the hooking, clutching, grabbing, slashing, it will lead to more power plays and/or more offensive chances. PLayers will reduce the penalities but its hard not to hook/grab/slash someone up after he flys by you. Plain and simple, the game has changed.. You can slow someone down rushing into the play...period.. especially if they don't have the puck. Open ice, no stick to body, interference like penalities, centre line gone and some other little changes will make it easier to see more goals in a game.. Just my opinion. Tonights games went 7-6-2. The 2 are both 6 goal games.. both winners in my book so 9-6 went over.

Good night..
