Above the Clouds....
Been there at least 10 times. Used to go every Feb vacation. First thing, if you have passports stay on the Canadian side. Have stayed on the US side but wouldn't even consider it now. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn right next to the Skylon. Everything is within walking distance. Once we're there we never use the car till we go home. Lots more info if you're interested.

If your Canadian and go to the US I am 99% sure you need a passport I'd assume the reverse is also true.....I always have my passpot when I cross the border so I am not 100% sure if you can cross without one

North of Titletown AKA Boston
Thanks guys. I checked on-line and you only need a passport if you are going by plane, you don't need one yet if you are going by car...

Should I get a room with a view of the falls or save my money, because I will be seeing the falls anyway...

"room with a view" are tough to come by and are expensive.........but I have to admit the view can be pretty cool on a nice night.....up to you on wheather you want to spend the extra money or not.

I am not sure if you are planning on gambling or not....but if so I can tell you that Fallsview Casino is very generous with comps....it really doesn't take that much gambling to get a free room.....but ummmm I would expect that you'd have to bet quite high to get a free "room with a view"...just something to keep in mind

Also........I am not sure if you are bringing a female with you....but if you are take her to "Niagara-on the Lake", chicks love that town....the kids will hate it and you will probably hate it......but the females will love it :SIB

There are a lot of places like the Holiday Inn that are literally a block away. You won't spend that much time in your room anyway. Change your money at Tablerock it is right at the Falls and is a National Park so they give the best rate. Have dinner at the Skylon, expensive but it rotates and you can see the Falls lit up at nite. Or you could just walk there ond see it. Do the Maid of the Mist. Clinton Hill is fun at nite, all lit up and places for the kids. Planet Hollywood is there and the Hard Rock too. We always have a great time there.

agree with Morris...........except one thing.....the best rate on exchanging your money is at the casino cashier.........

They won't gouge you on the rate because they know that 90% of people that exchange money at the cashier will gamble it in the casino :SIB

(you will have to pass through security to get to the cashier)

http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html

1 dollar US is currently $1.05 Canadian
