The rest of the country was treated to seeing what has frustrated Royals followers for multiple seasons now. And as WildBill mentioned, plagued the Brewers during Yost's time there as well.

This. The Royals would have been in the playoffs last year and won the division this year if they had a competent manager. Conventional wisdom among Royals fans is that he costs his teams a good 10-15 games a year through his moves (or rather lack thereof in most cases).

Other than the Ventura move though, that was actually probably one of the better games Yost has ever managed. He has not been taking advantage of the Royals speed by calling steals and hit-and-run plays nearly enough this year, but he was not afraid to do it last night when it counted. I have to say I was shocked at how many times he actually bunted runners over. He almost never did that during the regular season.

However, that Ventura move was probably the biggest blunder I have ever seen any manager make. Just a ludicrous decision. The royals most likely win with ease if he puts Finnegan in there.
