Seattle/KC under 9
Tonight Seattle sends Madritsch to the hill to face the Royals. Madritsch has been pitching very effective posting an ERA of 2.40 with a WHIP of 1.00 over his last 3. Kansas City sends May to the hill sporting an ERA of 3.15 and a WHIP of 1.10 over his last 3. May has been very effective lately eating up innings like candy, going 8 strong innings in his last outing and 7 innings in the game before that. Seattle is just hitting the ball terrible on the road this year scoring just 11 combined runs in a four game set in their last away series against the lowly Drays. Madritsch's only downfall is that he hasn't been pitching too deep into the games he pitches in. That's where the Seattle pen steps in, who, believe it or not, has been very effective lately with an ERA of 3.29 and a WHIP of 1.29. These two pitchers are a combined 1-4 o/u in their last 5 combined. May is 2-5 o/u in his last seven. 9 is a little to high for this matchup IMO.
I will wait to see who the homeplate ump is along with the weather report before I call this one in. If the weather isn't blowing out to hard and it's not a strictly over ump who calls under 62% strikes, then I think the under could definately be a strong play here.
As always, good luck tonight fellas
