Again - not my story.......
"I was recently at SXSW and was fortunate enough to attend the Nicolas Cage panel. During the hour, he did about 35-40 minutes of Q&A (usually these sessions only have about 15 minutes for questions). He was interesting, candid, and extremely kind to everyone who asked a question.
Nearing the end of the session, a woman stepped up to the microphone and said that she was one of his biggest fans. She said she purchased every version of all of his movies whenever they came out. She even said she missed her flight home that day just so she could see him.
Visibly touched by the comment, he offered to pay for her ticket home and helped her connect with one of his assistants backstage.
I have always enjoyed him as an actor, but after seeing this, I became a much bigger fan."
