Anyone have any thoughts on this game.

Nigara has been rolling as of late. The line is Niagara -6.5

Wondering if this might be Delaware time to win its first game.

I love the Purple Eagles....It just scares me that a 0 - 8 Team in a Tournament who needs a win.

I think The Purple Eagles will win here but not sure about the points.....I just might put it on the ML.

I would love Box and One input :)

Here is my take on it:

Niagara comes into this game (part of the LaSalle tournament) with a 4-6 record, but they have won 3 in a row. On the year, they've beaten teams like St. Bonaventure, Iona, Duquesne and most recently, Central Michigan. They are led by 6 foot 3 inch junior Charron Fisher, who averages 24.5 points per game. He will undoubtedly be the best player on the Court tonight. They also have a terrific freshman in 6 foot 7 inch Clif Brown, who is averaging 18.3 ppg and an impressive 9.8 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, the Delaware Blue Hens are 0-9 on the year, and things do not look good for them. They are in the midst of a long road-trip, playing the 4th game of a 5 game road trip. With the exception of 6 foot 7 inch forward Herb Courtney, who averages 16.3 ppg, they really have no one on this team--certainly not anyone who is going to slow down Charron Fisher.

Let's look at the numbers. Niagara averages 67.8 ppg. Delaware averages only 61.2 ppg. Niagara averages 35.0 rebounds per game, while Delaware averages only 30.6. In terms of free throw percentage, Niagara averages 70.7%, while Delaware shoots only 68.6%.

A couple of things to add:

1. Clif Brown is a senior not a freshman.
2. Niagara coach Mihalik spent 17 years at LaSalle as an Asst Coach. Meaning he will want to save a little gas in the tank to play his old team in the finals.
3. Niagara is missing its 3rd leading scorer, superfrosh Tyrone Lewis, who is out with a knee injury suffered in the 12/16 Duquense game.
4. Charron is back just 2 games and as stated by Keith is playing great.
5. 60% of the public is on Niagara yet the line has gone from -6.5 to -5.5 in some places...
6. This is the opening game of a tourney on a neutral court. Niagara is just trying to win to get to the next round not make a statement. Delaware will be playing their hardest as they have nothing to lose.

If asked I'd lean to Delaware but I'd lay off this one.

Niagra will cover the 1st half after coming out like chit. They just got their first lead at 21-20 and will continue to pull away I believe from here. Look for a great opp. for a halftime bet on them to blow em out in the 2nd half.

This is not going according to plan. Niagra down 8 at the break. I've said this before and I will say it again. Problem is, I don't listen to myself. "you are asking for trouble when betting on crap teams"

Hopefully they come back strong in the 2H.

Book,

I have Niagra on the Money Line....that said, think they get their asses chewed at half-time and they come out on fire.

Bet Niagra -4 second half, they win this game outright.
