Make no mistake about it, I don't get it. Why you would want to do this, why you wouldn't wear a tether, etc...

I watch a lot of Discovery channel which is why I even know this is happening.

Passing by all the obvious questions, I'd love to know why there is a paramedic at the bottom of the canyon? If he falls 1500 feet I'm not sure falling directly into the hospital is gonna do much good.

I'm watching it too...did you see where he said he loves his wife and kids and doesn't want to die? Then why not at least wear a harness?? If he makes it and never uses the harness then great but to fall to your death because you didn't? Stupid!!

Why?

I'm sure these people that do this are so skilled that the chance of falling is crazy slim, but things can go wrong. Why would you want him to die on the off chance he falls, like his uncle did?

Gee I don't know......maybe because when ya do the whole point of falling is no longer a factor.

The whole fucking point is that it is dangerous.

For fucks sake:facepalm:

Put that wire 10 inches off the ground and most people couldn't do it. Doing it that high is amazing. I don't think him risking his life adds to the skill factor of what he's doing.

I'm with PAChicky, he has a family, there is no reason to tempt fate here.

2. Expand your vocabulary.

Look up the word "High Wire"

:mj07:

The whole point of watching any "daredevil" is risk.

No risk if you can't fall.

The entire family is a bunch of bible thumpers......god is his safety harness, so he'll be fine.
