Myself along with a number of people who I work with had our workstations infected by this virus. Supposedly it is transferred by just visiting certain web sites; over 300,000 so far. During the course of the previous two days, the web sites I had frequented several sports sites; including this one, ESPN.com, SPortsline.com, covers.com, nss.net, wagerline and talksport. I wonder if anyone else got the virus.

from my hosting provider:

Internet Worm
2001-09-18

It has come to our attention that another Internet virus/worm is infecting a significant section of the Internet. Although our systems are already patched against it, the worms attempt to "knock" on our door and look for holes is causing a delay in the normal operations of our systems. However, rest assured that your domain and its contents have not been affected. Unfortunately, the problem has proliferated due to the failure of other hosting providers to patch against this virus.

We are working with our backbone providers to find workaround solutions, and hope that operations will return to normal as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience on this matter.
