MLB:

Saturday:
CARDINALS (93-53) FOX@1:20PM
CUBS (72-73)

Even though the Cardinals are the best team in the National League, don?t think the Cubs will back down. This is one of the hottest rivalries in all of sports and the Cubs lead the series this season 8-4! The ?Cards? are led by Albert Pujols (39, 108, .338) and pitcher Chris Carpenter (21-4, 2.31). The will have Cubs have sluggers Derek Lee (42, 100, .340) and Aramis Ramirez (31, 92, .302) ready to swing for the fences!

Sunday:
PHILLIES (77-68) ESPN2@8:05P

NCAA FOOTBALL:

MICH ST.
NOTRE DAME (#10) -6 ? points, total 56 NBC@3:30PM

The ?Fighting Irish? are ranked in the Top 10 for the first time since 2002, but need to focus as the Spartans (2-0), who haven't lost in South Bend since 1993, have piled up nearly 1,200 yards on offense and posted a 91-28 scoring margin in back-to-back victories over Kent State and Hawaii.

MIAMI FLA. (#13) -7 points, total 43 ? ABC@3:30PM
CLEMSON (#20)

Visiting Death Valley for the first time on Saturday, the Hurricanes could see their ACC and national title hopes come to an early end if they can't avenge last year's crushing loss to the Tigers and avoid their worst start in 28 years.

FLORIDA. ST. (#8) -1 point, total 38 ESPN@7:45PM
BOSTON COLLEGE (#17)

Boston College (2-0) enters this nationally televised matchup at #17 in the AP poll after dominating its first two opponents, but neither were anywhere near the Seminoles' caliber. Florida State (2-0, 1-0) has won at least a share of the ACC crown in 11 of its 13 years since joining, though that was before the league implemented a title game. This game could very well determine the winner of the ACC.

TENNESSEE (#5)
FLORIDA (#6) -6 points, total 49 CBS@8:00PM

First-year Florida coach Urban Meyer has played a part in several of college football's most storied rivalries - Ohio State-Michigan, Notre Dame-Michigan and most recently BYU-Utah. Meyer gets his first taste of Florida-Tennessee when his #6 Gators host the #5 Volunteers on Saturday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. The Volunteers have a lot more talent than the Gators last two opponents though so look out!

NFL:

Sunday:
CHIEFS -1, total 53 ?
RAIDERS ESPN@8:30PM

The Raiders drew a tough assignment in opening the season at New England, but now they return home in hopes of turning things around. The much hyped Oakland offense, with the addition WR Randy Moss and RB LaMont Jordan showed promise. But in order to keep up with the balanced Chiefs' attack, QB Kerry Collins must get better protection and be more efficient. That might not be so easy against an improved Chiefs defense that held the Jets to just seven points.

Monday:
SAINTS
GIANT -3, total 44 ABC@7:30PM

The Saints played inspired football last week. Expect more of the same this week, as the team will dedicate the season to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. With that said, it's important not to undervalue the talent on this team, especially on offense. The Giants will have a tough time keeping QB Aaron Brooks and RB Deuce McAllister under wraps, as both are capable of making a big plays every time they touch the ball.

REDSKINS
COWBOYS -6, total 35 ? ABC@9:00PM

These long-time NFC East rivals both won their openers, but the Redskins are looking at an uphill battle if they are to go 2-0. Dallas returns home following an impressive road win in San Diego. With its upgraded defense, a "bell-cow" running back in Julius Jones and the efficient play of veteran QB Drew Bledsoe this team finally has coach Bill Parcells' signature on it.
