NIT Over Bias?

Looking at NIT Totals last nite,
1 under
4 overs (3 were way over)

I know this is a small sample, but here is a theory. Could it be non motivated teams not playing hard on the defensive end. Most of these guys would rather be on spring break!

Valuist you are the Totals King in my book, would like your thoughts. Does history support? All opinions welcome!

Not sure about the past history. Your theory makes some sense but we need to see a lot more evidence first. Maybe there's some psychological letdown after the conf. tourneys. I don't think most of these NIT teams were serious contenders for the NCAA anyways. Maybe Butler, Virginia or Dayton had shots at it but there's plenty of teams that could only get in if they won their conf tourney.
