NIT thoughts

So, I am thinking about this transition to the quarter thing for the NIT. I think it is going to be a weird adjustment for the kids. I know watching so much Womens that you see hesitancy to start the quarter and the same to end the quarter... I think we will see coaches running more sets to end the quarter and not as open free basketball.

I think I am going to play ALL the 5 and 10 minutes Unders tonight at 5 dimes on the NIT. Not big plays but just hunches...

Anyone have any insight? Anything they have read? I know most of us are focusing on the NCAAT but there may be real ops here in the NIT.

3 point line moved back and the lane widened... Maybe more work on the block and less jacking up 3?

Just thinking out loud

have given this some thought.

and here goes...

second tier tourney with kids who are still going to launch it up ...probably if for no other reason than it's a little further back...% goes down a little...lane gets widened a little so coaches try to work the block a little more...clock gets worked a little bit more...4 quarters now so at least 2 additional times where clock is worked for a closing shot most of the time...

and......4 quarters stops pace and gives coaches even more control of clock and ebb ad flow.......and I would think more TV timeouts to kill ebb and flow as well..

:0002:0002:0002:0002:0002:0002:0002

UNDERS.......before the lines makers make the adjustments IF there are any to make....hell maybe it means nothing..

I think after the teams have played a game or 2 under this new system they made adjustments so that's why o/u are equal?
