Got this from the Raleigh News & Observer:
"The Duke game started it," McCauley said. "We realized we could beat a good team like Duke, with all its history and tradition, and that has sparked us to play the way we've played.
"And the NIT means a lot to us. Winning it would mean so much, especially since a lot of people didn't think we would do well in the ACC. It [the NIT] has been very competitive, with very good teams, and that has been good for us."
In the NIT, State had poor starts against Drexel and Marist. No problem, though. The Pack got its offense moving and clamped down on defense.
"They've taken on the attitude they can always win, regardless of the score or situation," NCSU coach Sidney Lowe said. "That's pretty good for a team with just one senior. Their mind-set is very positive. They feel they can beat anyone."
NC St lost 71-60 earlier this year in a game where the 'Neers hit 13-28 from range - although it was at a somewhat neutral site, PG Atsur did not play and that is huge - younger guys are playing to keep Atsur's career alive - obviously the Pack is playing confident ball right now - only potential problem is fatigue, which some people on this site don't think exists in college, but when you play a 7man rotation and as many games as NCSU has recently, anyway hoping the brief layoff will help them get their legs
Should be a tight, low-scoring game throughout IMO, give me the generous # and a parlay with the under
2.5 units NCST +7
2 unit parlay +7/under 139.5
As always, good luck
