Congrats addict! Hats off to you and your pirates! They pulled it off and look like very stringy contenders for the playoffs! I'm actually rooting for them to make the world series and win it all! Hell of a team!:0008 :toast:

Wainwright has stuff that could no-hit an allstar lineup.
Burnett will do enough....wainwright and kershaw and bumgarner (if in playoffs) are the only 3 pitchers in the game that I won't bet against in a game 1 right now. Anyone else I almost gaurantee a buccos win. Guys like this take momentum and shove it down your throat.

I am one of the few who dislikes burnett in the area....
think is is a arrogant white trash loud mouth who has average stuff.
Yankees run he didn't say a word because he sucked....he comes to pitt, has a little success, and thinks he is now some legend who can afford to be arrogant....
this is him....average at best....
Francisco/cole/tailion/wandy are are future for next few years....hopefully we can sign a true dominant ace like a greinke or price

I agree addict, not a pirate fan, but can't stand aj, I dint bet against pirates much but burrnett is my #1 fade.

he is a clown.
for some reason, people around here accept him and some try to endorse him as the next Nolan ryan.....he is average....AT BEST.....high k volume, but really inconsistent and can walk a ton....in the central you get a lot of below average lineups that make numbers a little deceiving.
overall, burnett is def. a better option then a lot of other teams throw out there, but IMO this is the only mistake I think hurdle has made really all year...
If it is me, I go cole for game 1 here....without a doubt.....like no doubt at all.....I still wouldn't of bet on bucs with wainwright and home crowd but I honestly think it would be a lot closer then 7-0
I wonder if this series goes deep, whether they pitch Burnett again - if so, he will have a SHORT leash.

Check this story out,I was told by father in law want to go to Tribe wildcard game I got tickets and will take you for your B-Day( in November)I said sure so we get down to Stadium and he bought tickets on line with credit card.We get through the gates and they say we have no confirmation for tonights game,we show tickets for next Monday and Tuesdays game if they win tonight.So that is the gist of it,got through gate and a towel but got kicked out after that so went and ate at Tilted Kilt and then hit Casino and lost 300 in about 2 hours and Tribe never scored.Made the best of it anyways.
wish tribe coulda won for you man....woulda liked to see them make a run....and woulda loved to see francona back in boston.

Never a question about this game. We had to win it for this city....
I am not one of those fans who thinks that when the team you root for wins, it enables you to act better then others and act like personally you are better then any.....I often times see this and don't quite understand it.
I will be the first to say helluva game to cards fans....that is an environment I honestly cannot explain. Unreal. I am very fortunate to of been a part of it, and feel so lucky to get to experience it finally....
