Never a question about this game. We had to win it for this city....

I am not one of those fans who thinks that when the team you root for wins, it enables you to act better then others and act like personally you are better then any.....I often times see this and don't quite understand it.

I will be the first to say helluva game to cards fans....that is an environment I honestly cannot explain. Unreal. I am very fortunate to of been a part of it, and feel so lucky to get to experience it finally....

GOOD FOR YOU ADDICT...I AM HAPPY THAT YOU ARE THERE REPRESENTING MJ NATION...LET'S GO BUCS :toast:

And another unit on BUCCOS to close out the series.

Some may hedge havin pirates for series....not today....pirates end it...morton is one of best pitchers over last 2 months....

And this stlouis lineup is not like ones of past...

I'm sure my bias is in the way here, but I don't think its close...perhaps the score seems close, but I think cards are dead on arrival....no craig and a rookie on the bump.

All that said, this cardinal organization is the class of the MLB, and if anyteam suprised me it would be them, but these are a lot of new faces, even from their WS title couple years ago...

Wainwright was hurt that year
Shelby miller/wacha/kelly all weren't starting

Craig/matt carpenter were not stars...matt adams was still beer bonging budlight at slippery rock U.....mujica was not here....

The core with molina and beltran and holiday were there, but lots of new pieces.....hoping that they need one more year to regain their dominance of the NL, and the buccos can capitalize with the home crowd.

Actually, playin the under as well.

Morton should be fine today as long as he is dominating the bottom of the zone like he has been....groundouts and DP's will be his best friend....

Gl everyone....sitting at work and cannot wait...

5-2 OVERALL PLAYOFF ALL GAMES

wow people.

What a playoffs we have seen this year....more drama and passion this year then anyyear I remember in regards to the fucking divisional round

unreal ball

as a pirates fan, this has been without a doubt the funnest year of our lives....my dad, brother, and papa have been to a ton of games and honestly, besides strappin em up for my first college game, I feel more adrenaline for these playoff games then anything I ever have in sports....

I know this, the Dodgers and pirates would make for a helluva fun series...

the team owned by celebs and billionaires who spend money like nothing, VS the pirates...perhaps the smallest market team in the NL who has rallied around a manager who seems to always get the best collective efforts out of his guys, regardless of the city or uniforms they wear....I honestly think it would be a david vs goliath feel, and honestly the value the pirates would provide would be good for all of us....we can beat anyteam in the league....

all of that said, man Wainwright at home vs a team that always seems to find a way....cardinals are literally the epitome of what a ball club should be....consistent, efficient, and full of guys who just are gamers....not a Diva to be found......

As much as I respect this cardinal club, it isn't there year. not at all. nothing I have seen throught all the games this season has shown me that the cardinals are a better ball club than the pirates.......

hitting with RISP of course cardinals have the edge VS anyteam, but a big contributor to that was allen craig....I have said it a bunch....losing him was monumental to this team....people don't realize the run production this guy had....

I think we get to wainwright early....we have seen him recently, and this pirates team has done very well if given another opportunity to prepare and given a 2nd chance...

resilient does not begin to describe the character of this team....Fearless may be more appropriate...and believe me, they are absolutely loose...I think they feel no pressure right now....Much to the credit of Clint Hurdle......

a lot of people have seemed to have concern with the pirates throwing a rookie pitcher out there in a situation like this.....COLE IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE ROOKIE..........this guy is as competitive as they come....I know a lot of guys can have that said about them, but honestly none more then cole.....they have had to coach him in an attempt to control his heart rate and adrenaline, because he sweats so badly from getting worked up between every pitch....I mean EVERY PITCH....

The biggest thing people aren't realizing, is the Value russ martin brings when having a rookie on the bump.....he is so good at calling the pitch selection, and makes every guy out there feel so comfortable........I have seen interviews in which burnett and liriano both have said that martin is the best catcher they have worked with defensively, and all the pirate pitchers feel like they can locate any pitch with the confidence martin brings them....

I am sorry for rambling, but it could all be for nothing if the Cards beat us up and send us packing....I am enjoying my possible last post for this years pirates team.....

BUT I AM NOT BUYING IT

Pirates are just that team that bounces back....they have all year...no reason to think they wont tomorrow....I honestly do not see this season ending in ST Louis....not like this....

GIVE ME THE BUCCOS ALL DAY....GO BUCS

DISCLAIMER: I may possibly be looking at this series/game with black and gold blinders on, but I am 100% confident playing this pick.

perhaps vs the cardinals?????? not no the year

7-4 record and 3.2 ERA this year

and honestly pitched better then that 3.2 ERA shows...could easily have had a sub 3 ERA year, but had a couple outing where one pitch cost em and two where they left him in to long...

Thanks for the breakdown. People should take note...

The discipline of making 20+ selections out of 160+ games should be mentioned as well..Outstanding

We all know there are no guarantees in sportsbetting, but I feel just as good about this bet as I do when tailing a couple others on here that seem to have really good reads on their home teams, maybe even better. I just doubled up on tonight and look forward to the next round.

On a side note: I know I didn't get every Pitt play you had this year and was wondering if you ever picked them to lose? Just curious.....

my locals line is up to -181/+161. Can get a lot of return on your Pirate bet if they win, but makes me nervous how high the line is getting.

I believe I wagered against the bucs twice this year and won both. not sure If I posted them. I probably played 40 games total, and posted 28 of them thus far. I only posted the ones I was very confident on.......like tonite....most of them with the buccos.

and nah, not betting with my heart. I honestly just don't see us losing tonite. nearly all of my wagers are with different systems and numbers I have created and used combined with about 20% line movement and 20% my knowledge of the game....

these pirates wagers however, are all made largely on my understanding of this pirates team, the number of games I have watched them play (roughly 160...missed a few with work), and my gut feeling....

I do use a system for baseball, and the pirate games I wager on all have to first be supported by that system, and in this case, it is no different...but this play is mostly based on my personal opinion....like all the others...

so while I am a fan of the pirates, I have had 167 chances to bet on these pirates because my "heart" says to......I have only chose to wager on roughly 40 of those opportunities because I would like to think I am doing the exact opposite....taking my heart out of it, and making a very educated opinion, that thus far has been a very successful formula...

Like I said yesterday, I could lose this game, just like I could've lost all the others.....I just realllly hope not....cause I would love nothing more then at least one more series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :toast:

EEEEErock my man, I know it is probably hard being a Clevelander, but we appreciate your support hahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

G COLE IS A FUCKIN MAD DAWG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST HOPE HE PITCHES LIKE HE CAN TONITE....AS LONG AS HE GIVES US A CHANCE, I THINK WE ARE GOING TO GET TO WAINWRIGHT AT SOME POINT.

that is cool man.

win or lose, I know I have no problem wagering my money on this team. If I lose, it will not be because of lack of effort.

wainwright at home is surely hard to bet against....not for me....at least not tonite...

by no way am I guaranteeing a win.....I will not come in and pound my chest if I win, only be excited for the pirates.....no different if I lose...I will not sit around and regret and 2nd guess the fact that I wagered on them, but really I will mostly be disappointed for them...

this team has came so far....and honestly meant so much to this area after 21 years....cardinals are here everyyear....for a good reason: they are the best...but they do not have the city of Pittsburgh behind them like the pirates do....I Have seen/read nearly 30 quotes of baseball people whom have been to many venues, who all say that the pirates stadium during these playoff games, is literally like nothing they have seen before...

Gl to ya man, if you win your cardinal wager, ill be the first to tell you good job....I just hope you are wrong...
