Looks like I'm going to go to a local game tonight. I'm not sure of the exact 'rules' at this game, but I know there will be rebuys. I've played rebuy tournaments online, and I'm familiar with that and with add-ons. However, I've never been successful with this sort of tourney. I'm also not sure if there will be an add-on period at this game. Thanks for any tips.

1. Avoid.

2. If 1 is not an option be ready for the play to be even looser than a regular game for the first hour.

3. Assume it will cost you at least 5x the buy-in. Buy-in, immediate rebuy, probably bust once, rebuy and immediate rebuy, then the add-on.

4. These games take a LONG time since soooooo many chips are in play after the first hour.

just show up an hour late.

do an add on after the first hour when you show up.

your ev is virtually the same as if playing during the rebuy period and your br fluctuation is less, with the same opportunity to win when the blinds increase.
