Will Dusty Baker be fired if the Cubs don't make the playoffs?

That's not the question....
I know the answer to that. This is...

Should Dusty Baker be fired if the Cubs don't make the playoffs?

He sure back his players 110% that are on the roster, maybe too much sometimes...when they are struggling.

I also wonder if he has too much say with GM Hendry regarding roster moves, maybe...maybe not...

Ive heard some guy named Larry Bowa might be had for the right price next season if they fail this year...

I've been at the last 3 games and the atmosphere is nowhere near what it was last year. The team seems extremely tight, maybe guys like Lofton and Simon kept them loose last year.

Don't think Hendry would ever hire someone in the Bowa mold. I have heard that Dusty was never challenged in the SF papers and media like he has been here in Chicago. I do think a lot of the second-guessing of Dusty has been more right than wrong.

u make me sick Operator..j/k....i dont think he should be fired, i mean even if they don't win, they will still have more wins than last year and with all the injuries they have had this year, look at the job he has done. i do have to say this has been one of the strangest seasons of being a cub fan, but hey 1/2 game out with 4 games to go, sure beats being 30 out in august, or if your a sox fan your allready out by june.

They really need to upgrade their bullpen. With a dominate closer, they would have already rapped up the wildcard. Hawkins, after yesterday's blown save, is now only 24 for 33 in save situations, less than 73%. That just won't cut it. Even if they do happen to get the wild card, I don't see them doing much when they have trouble finishing games. Even though I grew up on the south side as a Sox Fan, I am pulling for the Cubs. Hope they can turn it around.
