Ball State @ Kent State

Ball State is a young team that has shown they can put up points. But they also have shown they can give up points. Kent State's offense last week against buffalo was nothing more than pedestrian at best. They do have some threat in their playmaker Dri Archer that can cause some headaches for any defense. Their bread and butter is a "grinding" approach lead by the horseman Trayion Durham from.. you betcha Cincy. I believe Kent State will not want to get into a shootout with Ball State, and will try to play keepaway. At first anyhow, and without going too much into predictions, I just cannot see Kent State putting up more than 27 points in this match up, but I can most certainly see Ball State putting up 27+ so here is the situation...

Ball State -1 @ Kent State +1 Total 53.5

I say if you bet Ball State -.5 (buy half point) and also bet the under 53.5 you will split at worst..

Ball State 31
Kent State 17

So I'm ready to blast away! :director:

I have no opinion on this game. However, Right Angle Sports (RAS), a service that has been really hot so far this year, picks Kent St. That is enough to keep me off Ball St. I hope you win! Good luck.

They are by far the most reputable service out there. They move lines 3pts. on totals, no joke!

As for Ball St. they are off a huge win at home to USF, with rival NIU on deck at home. Kent St. has had 3 extra days to prepare for this game too. It's Kent St. or no play for me. Just offering my 2 cents. GL

thanks for the input

looking for any thoughts on the two squads in particular and not just what some tout is on thou, and thoughts on the whole idea of getting a split at worst if not scoop idea, and whether that is a good way of setting up a wager... thanks :toast:

I like Kent here and while I think this should be a very close game, I'll tell you the major reasons why.

1. In general. road chalk kills bankrolls

2. Kent St has an experienced QB and some decent weapons to work with.

3. Kent State is a better defensive team. Lots of experience with a good group of LBs.

4. Kent State has had 3 extra days to prepare for this game.

not going to try to talk you out of your play by any means, just pointing out a couple reasons why Kent St should not be discounted.

Good luck
