I've hit both games so far in the series, taking FLA +1.5 in game one and YANKS and UNDER in game two. That?s not bragging, just letting you know since I don?t have a running record posted. However, both games were posted for anyone wanting to wade thru the logs?

With that being said, let me tell you how I see tonite?s game. First of all, this Beckett is nails? I love the guy. I don?t think he finished college so he doesn?t even no how to spell the word F E A R yet alone know the psychology of it all. To come out and predict he?d beat the CUBS and then pitch in GAME 7 to win the NLCS takes some major juevos!! I?m not suggesting the kid is psychic mind you, but he?s confident and confidence mixed in with his pitching arsenal is a mighty force. I know this is the WORLD SERIES but who cares! The kid is the real deal and I think he?ll be fine going the at least 8 tonite vs the YANKEES since I don?t see them getting many runners on him.

MUSSINA has pitched well without getting a win, and it?s the same old story. He pitches well enough to win, but gets no support. I see that continuing tonite. I doubt if NY scores 2 runs. MOOSE may give up 3 or 4, but he?s still gonna lose. He?s been giving up way too many HRs and I think someone will take him deep tonite. I don?t know about the UMP situation, that?s GSP?s area, but I do know that a tighter zone will favor the kid. He?s got the better stuff if it becomes a tight zone. Also, MOOSE has had one less day of rest than BECKETT and is much older, which may earn him an earlier exit. PETTITE saved the pen the other nite, so they should all be ready and available.

So, unlike the other nite in NY, where PETTITE fileted his way thru the MARLIN lineup, leaving them boxed up but without any FISH STICKS, I see a party in SOUTH BEACH happening tonite and the MARLINS taking a 2-1 lead and setting up a potential GAME 7 apprearance for BECKETT. It should be low scoring, I?m looking for a 4-1 type game, and small ball will be working tonite! :D

MARLINS +1.5 ?140 ** 2 UNITS **
MARLINS +105 ** 2 UNITS **
Game UNDER 7.5 ?115 ** 3 UNITS **

Good Luck!

1-2 -1.8 Units  :nutkick :banghead: :soapbox:

I am so glad that FLORIDA didn't get the run in the bottom of the ninth. I would have probably been done with the series! I wasn't upset when NYY took the 2-1 lead. In fact, it had me in a very good position heading into the bottom of the ninth IF it had stayed that way. If FLA wins, the most they can win by is 5-2 with a Grand Slam and I win all plays. If they tie it up, well, I'm still sitting good at that point, still have 3 runs to play with on the Under. If they don't score, I win the +1.5 and Under and make 3 units on the nite.

Well, as we all saw, and watched in horror, FLA gives up the HR to BOONE and then the 3 run shot to BERNIE! :chairshot Here I'm sitting on a potential 7 unit win and now I'm suddenly faced with an 8 unit loss! And all because of piss poor managing I might add. WHY in God's name do you NOT have LEE guarding the line vs JETER who is known to go to RF??? BECKETT is on the mound still throwing 97 and you're worried about DEREK getting around on him??? And then, to bring in WILLIS was a mistake. I do not trust the kid with the game on the line. He's too unpredictable in my mind. You needed to bring in anyone who could just throw strikes at that point. I mean, if it was URBINA to finish that inning and then use LOOPER, that's fine. But the sensational yet erratic WILLIS was not a wise choice in my opinion. I know JACK was looking for the LEFTY / LEFTY matchup but what had those two done vs BECKETT??? NADA, that's what. JETER had the only 3 hits JOSH gave up. I told my wife it was a bad move before he even threw a pitch. He's had his moments of brilliance (very few) here in the postseason, but for the most part he's walked or hit batters that have eventually scored. Just like last nite... IN a tie game, you need to go with your best available, and if URBINA wasn't available, then you use LOOPER. I know LOOPER gave up the dinger to BERNIE later, but if you get out of that inning without giving up a run, well, who knows what FLA does then. NYY may not send RIVERA into a tie game at that point, fearing extra innings and wanting to save him for the bottom of an inning with a lead.

Ok, I'm done... guess I'm just frustrated that I capped this game correctly and still lost. The players didn't lose this game as much as the manager did. The other thing is went against FLETCHER and MAD JACK who both had NYY, and that is something I rarely do. Seems when they both agree, it's a V I C T O R Y! And today I'm not celebrating....:(

On to game four...
