They changed it too make the game more exciting in 1994. Now they changed it because you have 260lb men running under 5 sec 40yd dashes. I have no problem with it. I will say by midseason this won't even be a topic again.

Now you still have punt returns like the one we just seen which still make the game exciting.

Like they always do they will evaluate it after the season and possibly go back. If no serious injuries occur then I doubt they change it at alll. That is what they are after.
